3rd Times the Charm?

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

A few years back I got into a competitive nursing program and failed the first block twice. The first time, I think I was so overwhelmed, my head was spinning. The second time? I failed by 1%. Of course being upset I attempted to appeal the grade, even had a letter of recommendation from one of the instructors, but unfortunately, I was denied. The discouraging part was that in the state of AZ if you fail 2x in the same block, chances of being accepted into another CC are slim.

Today, I live in Phoenix and am reconsidering the field again. For the past three years I have worked in a ER and I can't seem to get it out of my system. Currently I am a student at ASU and if I can get all my pre req's in order as well as maintain a good GPA, I just might apply for the program. Another option I considered was applying with a technical institute, like Apollo or Pima Medical.

My question is has anyone graduated or attempted any of these other schools with success?
