Uniforms at the office

Hi everyone! Just thought I see what everyone else is wearing! (been scrub shopping..down 50 pounds...WOOHOO!!)

Does your office require a uniform? I've worked for a few different offices (as a nurse, a secretary, medical records, and transcription....couldn't make up my mind until I becacme a nurse..lol)

I've had to wear any scrubs I want as long as they are solid, I worked for a multi-physician group where the office staff wore one color, and each MDs nurses wore a color (Dr. A's nurses wore blue, Dr. B's nurses wore pink and so on) and now I'm the nurse at a very small office and we can wear anything we want.

Since I just dropped some weight, and am quite uneven (my darn belly and butt won't budge!!) so I've been looking quite...baggy lately. I've recently been wearing embroidered t-shirts (with the stick nurse, and LPN and such) and pants....the pts seem to love it. its quite comfy too!

What do you guys wear? =0)

I have just been hired at a Renal Clinic and I was told that I can wear any colored scrub I want. Towanna RN

Our clinic has actually come a long way since I first started. Four years ago, the nurses still wore all white! (no hats, fortunately

) We first became able to wear ceil blue scrubs, then royal blue scrubs. We can now wear any color top with white pants or wear royal or ceil in combination with white.
You know, I must say I like wearing scrubs to work, they are very comfortable, generally flattering and cheaper then dress clothes.

I've never been a big fan of "you can wear anything you want...as long as its we tell you what color it is and how to wear it"

I figure, as long as its professional, and you look decent....who cares. You can always tell when its laundry day at my house, I show up wearing my Nemo shirt, or my Strawberry Shortcake shirt. I have a 2nd job as a visit nurse for a pediatric home care company..so I have a small supply of kid friendly shirts. But most of my older patients LOVE my I Love Lucy shirt!! I'm totally a scrub sl*t. If I had enough money, I'd have the largest scrub selection in the world!! =0)

I am in a small practice and I too can wear whatever I lke

I still wear scrubs B/C theyare so practical and comfy

However I like scrubs with snaps or buttons down the front and some kind of detail in the back.... I can wear solids or designs..I tend to go with patterns/designs ..I am in an IM office so flowers and butterflies are a big hit with my patients

Landau and Peaches are my favorite brands

I work in a small ofiice. Until this week I have been wearing any color of scrubs that I want. We are changing to all ciel blue, indigo, and hunter green combinations soon. We will wear mostly solids with one coordinating print with all of the colors. Barco is the brand of choice.

Uniforms

I work in a small physician's office and we were nice, casual clothing. At one point they were discussing wearing name tags, but so far nothing has come of it. Lab coats are optional. It being winter in vermont, most all of us are wearing fleece vests over our clothing- even in the office. Easier to clean than a sweater and very comfy.
