    What are their skills like for placing central lines? Or even an IV? In most hospitals, the nurses place the peripheral IVs.

    Bagging with 100% O2, compressions, and the AED are all that you need.
    Same thing that the airports have until the medics arrive.

    Here it is again. Please check in any Basic Life Support text (from the American Heart Association) for the protocols for "code blue"/cardiac and/or respiratory arrest. Also, check in the ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association) text as well. Very detailed and utilized everywhere.
