I applied to Shelby for the spring...I have 184 points...I got a letter yesterday that said I didn't make it. :sniff: So...I guess I will need to take MTH 100 so I can apply for the fall. Has anyone else received their letter yet?

lorihopes2bRN...congratulations!! That is so exciting! Do you mind telling me how many points you had?

angelinerw1...Thank you!! I am excited but very nervous I know I have a tough road ahead of me.. I had 196 points.. I got A's in all my bio's and in math 116.. This semester I am working on my pre reqs for my bachelors and I'm not doing so well... My GPA is going to drop drastically after this semester..

Yes I got in!!! :-) I'm sooooo excited; a little bummed there wasn't hardly any info in the letter, and I hope they cover everything in 2 hours! Haha... People keep saying bad things about jeff state program but I have to follow my heart and I am so excited!

the cut off was 185 for both campus...

Awesome!! Congrats !! I hear negative things as well but I have also heard the Nursing Program is tough no matter where you go... I know people that have gradated from Gadsen, CACC and JSCC they said it was really really tough. I hear negative about all three of the schools so i guess its inevitable wherever you go..

What Campus are you going to?

I am in my first semester at Jeff State Shelby and it is super hard. But if you are dedicated and disciplined when it comes to studying you will be fine. We have a ton of tests regularly and our next test is on 11 chapters. And that's just for one test. I was accepted to both wallace and jeff state and I have heard from a lot of nurse managers that jeff state nurses are some of the best prepared they've seen. And Shelby has a 100% NCLEX pass rate. So I think all the work is worth it :-) I wish y'all the best and don't stress about the math. They no longer do the kickin out if you make below 90 percent, it's part of your pharmacology average instead. Plus she spent about a month going over all the info for the math test. Don't believe all the horror stories you hear. They will tell you at orientation that everything you hear isn't true! Good luck!!

shelby campus... And thank you soo much for that advise fashionista! You have no idea how much I needed to hear that!
