Acceptance letters for Shelton state fall 2011

Hi Everyone,

I was just seeing if anyone has received there letters from Shelton State for fall 2011? The waiting is killing me let me know if any of you have received your letter from Shelton State.

I got my cashiers check today. I am getting 2 shirts,2 pants and one coat. As far as tax, I didn't add on anything. It didn't say anything about it so I figured they probably figured it all in already. I will probably be wrong though, ha ha!

So frustrating! I went to the bank a few minutes ago and it had already closed, it seems my bank doesn't even keep traditional bank hours. I've spent all day trying to decide how many uniforms to order and how to figure out how much the cashiers check for. The form doesn't mention tax, and the price is different depending on the size. I'm not sure whether I'll need a plus size or not. I'm also losing weight so I'm wondering how I'm going to get more uniforms that fit the smaller me in the future. Why? couldn't we have just ordered our uniforms from a company with a real website who takes debit cards and orders anytime? Guess I better quit whining/venting and start looking for places that will sell me a money order :)

My mom told me Fred's and most grocery stores do Money Orders. I switched from Cadence to Wells Fargo, and WF seems to have much longer hours than Cadence did. They would close at like 4:30 and not open Sat, it was ridiculous. I went ahead and added tax for mine just in case.

Ok. So I was able to get a money order at a machine at Walmart for $.60, so not too bad. I went ahead and got enough to order two uniforms, including 2 lab coats but didn't add tax. If tax is needed then I guess I'll just order one lab coat and use that part for tax. I would like to order one of the "ladies" knit-cuffed ones and also one of the unisex ones which I assume is the more traditional lab coat style. Anyone else (female) thinking of ordering that style?

Do you think we should bring cash just in case our orders don't include tax?! I'm so nervous, and I have so many questions for tomorrow! I had to go back to tge doctor today bc I tried to turn in my physical and they didn't check my h/h. And only did one TB test instead of two. So the director told me to get them to fix it! I think my two year old thinks I have lost my mind, bc I've been running around trying to get all this stuff taken care of the past two weeks! And it has became our routine to re-read my papers every night! I'm so excited for tomorrow!!

I don't believe the health form is due until aug 22. I still have to go back for my second tb test also. I feel you on te re-reading part, ive reread our packet like 10 times thinking I'm forgetting something.

I forgot to ask about shoes too! I think I'll try and call tomorrow to ask. It was great meeting you all. I hope I get the chance to talk to you all more in August. I went by American Family Care after we left school and they said that they do all the things on our health sheet. You don't need an appointment. I'm going to take care of mine next week.

I also went by the school bookstore before I left and picked up a list of the books we need. I'm in the process of looking them all up online. I just bought the first one on the list "Nursing Diagnosis Handbook" by Ackley from Amazon for the kindle app on my iPad. It was only $40 instead of the $58 it's listed for on the bookstores list. I usually just buy all my books from the school bookstore but I'm going to shop around this year, since, I'm going to get most of them as ebooks this time anyway.

I got the list from the bookstore also, I just can't decide whether to shop around or just by the bundles. There are SO many books!
