    Hi mia

I would like to ask if you had taken any trainings before you applied to oiiq and if so did you includ the certificates of these trainings in the documents that you sent to oiiq?

    Thank you so much

hi miasat! i'm currently in the philippines. i've already read and did my research concerning integration program for internationally educated professional nurses. my application packet and documents are now complete. everything is ready to be mailed back to oiiq. however, i asked my school, prc and my employer that i will be the one to send all the attestation forms in their original sealed envelopes together with my comparative form and all other supporting documents. i thought i could save money if i will send them all to oiiq in one mail.

i understand that its on their directives that it must be sent directly by the institution/organization who are completing the forms. in your case you brought them to quebec and personally submitted the attestation forms in their orig. envelopes. but, will oiiq accept the attestation forms which are all in sealed envelopes as valid and genuine, if i mail them myself together my application for comparative and all other documents?

you prompt reply will be greatly appreciated.
    thank you!

hi blackforest. as for me, i prepared my application requirements while i was still in the phils. someone sent me the application packet from montreal, and mailed it to the phils. so before coming here, i had everything ready. in the packet, they have a list of documents you have to submit - a.) proof of id (birth certificate or passport) , b.) academic documents which include your secondary education/high school (including diploma), you bsn diploma and transcript of records with attestation form (which your previous school will fill out), c.) attestation of registration (there is the form which the prc will fill out, or whatever board of nursing you got your license from), attestation of professional experience (form which your previous employers will fill out), and of course, the application fee, which during my time was around 600 cad. these requirements could be submitted directly from the organizations/institutions filling them out. in my case though, since i hand-carried the documents, i just handed it over to the oiiq in its original sealed envelope.
the oiiq then sent my academic documents to the micc to be assessed. took a two-three months to process (probably because it was during the holidays that they sent them out). probably, if you have already been assessed by the micc, you can ask the oiiq if you can submit your evaluation results directly to them, or if they can get a copy of the evaluation results directly from the micc.
overall, it might sound a bit complicated, but once you get all your documents ready, with a little patience, you will be evaluated and get your results in around 5-6 months time. the oiiq is quite receptive to questions that you might have. in my experience, the oiiq people are very helpful and will explain anything you need to know.

thank you for your reply miasat. i thought you also brought the attestations with you to quebec and personally submitted it oiiq. so, just your application form and other supporting documents. i'll just have prc and my school then to send the attestations as stated on oiiq's directives.

hi howard, my agency also instructed me to gather all the attestations and send them as one. i believe this has been done by applicants before me and prc even asked me to claim the processed document so it means that they are not sending the document directly.

    hi miasat,

I am from the Phil. I applied for this Quebec Nursing Program last March of this year via an agency that cost me 70T. I am now into my French class, 2nd session. I am now in the step of processing my papers in PRC, previous employment etc. I read your conversations together with other nurses, and I am glad to know that you already passed the Professional Exam, in fact I am proud of u.
I've got lots of questions regarding this Quebec Nursing Program:
    1. How's everything going with you there in Quebec? Are you still working under the temporary working permit issued for 4 yrs?
    2. Once we're there already, are we the one who will look for a hospital where we can have the integration?
    3. What's the decision of OIIQ for you? Do u belong to the 1 month or 6 months integration?
    4. Are you paid when u have your integration in the hospital because I heard some of the hospitals will pay u 20CAD/hour?

I am hoping to receive feedback from you or from any one. Thank You!

hi howard, just to correct my previous post - i did handcarry all my documents to the oiiq. called them prior, and they said it was ok to mail it from the philippines, as long the envelope is sealed.
@ewol - i posted the process i went through, including a description of the exam in one of my posts here.
