Processing EB3 Visa dependents application

Good day, everyone! I am new to this site but I have heard nothing but excellent feedbacks about the allnurses.com community from my fellow nurses' here in the Philippines.

As I have mentioned, I am an RN in the Philippines and I currently have my visa application pending. I was able to find a US employer who graciously decided to accept me as one of their recruits in the country and have provided an EB3 Visa for me. My PD is now current and my employer had my application processed by a known law firm in CA, USA. I am now currently waiting for my visa fee bill to be paid by the the law firm. Payment has been sent by my employer to them and it will be the law firm who will send it to NVC.

Now, having been married for 7 years to my beautfiul wife and blessed with 2 wonderful kids, I wanted to bring them with me to the US when my EB3 visa gets approved. I was hoping that we will be able to go there altogether.

My question is, are there any of you here who are familiar with processing EB3 dependents visa application? The reason I asked of this is that I opted to process them myself vs. having the law firm do it due to financial constraints. It would cost me a lot to have my dependents' visa application be processed by the firm as my employer will only be paying for my visa application and not for my dependents. Same goes with the lawyer's fee/processing fee.

If there are any of you here who could somehow elaborate the process for applying for my dependents' visa aside from those info available from the NVC site, your inputs would be greatly appreciated.

I am now just waiting for the law firm to apply the payment for my visa application and then I would pay my dependents' visa fee bill myself. After this, I think, I would receive a correspondence from NVC about the next steps. I'm not quite sure what they are, but I think it would have something to do about completing DS form and submitting docs for myself and my dependents. Will there be anything else that I need to do other than this?

I would advise you to come up with the money for at least a one-time appointment or consultation with an experienced immigration attorney. This will be much better and cheaper in the long run than trying to do it yourself and making errors. You may be able to apply yourself, but you should at least seek input on the best and fastest way to do it.

Hi Ghillbert,

thank you for the advise. I will certainly take a look into that option. I am already saving up for potential expenses on this, so hopefully I would be able to find the right person to help me with the application. The fees that are being asked by the law firm that my employer hired to process my application is a bit high for me and that's why I am looking at any other help that I can get at the least possible amount.

If anyone here has any other inputs or info about the topic, please feel free to share your thoughts on this. I will certainly appreciate any help from you guys.

I would search the website for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and find one of them. A one-time consultation may even be free.
