Overseas Nurse Programme and Tier 2 Sponsorship in the UK

Published

Good day everyone! I would just like to ask if anyone here knows any hospital or nursing home employers that allow overseas nurses to do their overseas nursing programme in their institutions and at the same time gives tier 2 (working visa) sponsorship, preferably one that is not too pricey.

Many thanks..

Suspect it may be difficult finding a establishment willing to do this but really suggest going through NHSjobs.com and seeing which hospitals say they accept international nurses

Have seen some state this but preference is give to UK/EU first and experience and skill appears to be required but all appear to say must have current UK professional registration meaning the NMC has ok'd everything and given you a PIN

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship (formerly a Work Permit):

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Border Agency requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit UK Border Agency website.
