NBV doesn't require post graduate experience...only some schools offering the bridge program...ETEA, ballarat, deakin and la trobe do not require experience. as far as i know, only Ramsay health who offers the lowest course fee is requiring hospital experience of 1 year.... all the rest of the schools are charging 10,000-10500 AUD course fee...
Hi chabeli, thank you so much for your very significant information, this is very important in my decision making specially in choosing which state will I apply with for the registration. Thanks a lot

    Hi,

i do not have a post graduate experience and yes im in the philippines and from the philippines. i have already lodged my application to the NBV and i'm just waiting for the assessment results. I plan to enroll in ETEA in October or if not, in January 2010. the course is 13-weeks and the fee is 10,600 AUD.

    You have 3 visa options:

    short stay visa
    tourist visa
    student visa

short stay visa is strictly 3 months only . i have decided to get a student visa since 13-weeks is a week longer than 3 months plus i plan to be there a week before classes start. If i start in October 12, that means, i will have to go through christmas break before continuing my studies.

hi, my ielts will expire in a few months. nbv asked me to take the initial registration course for overseas nurses. choosing a school is very hard, also the accomodations are confusing, any help? TIA
hey Tia, i'm afraid you will have to take it again, if not enroll ASAP. Your IELTS need to be valid by the time you enroll. I will be retaking IELTS in June 27 because my writing was only 6.5 and i needed a 7 in all bands.

There are a lot of things to consider like the commencement date. Most of the universities have january and july classes only and have deadlines for application which means, most of the universities we can't enroll in for 2009 anymore. the next would be Deakin, La Trobe and Ballarat which offers the course in January of 2010.

I have decided to take it in ETEA because they offer it around 4-5 times in a year and they have a start date in October 12 and also January. One of the members here, Dudzy will start her course with ETEA in June. I am also waiting for her feedback.

hi im afraid, the site does not recommend exchanging personal info such as landline and cp. Don't worry though, you just have to be diligent in getting the info you need in these forums especially in the other forum. I just learned by asking questions myself and i also logon regularly so i can definitely help you with what i know through this forum

Hi! Is it ok to lodge the application with NBV w/o IELTS yet? or do I have to make sure I pass IELTS first? What is the cheapest BP provider considering I already have 1 year hospital experience? How much would that cost? Thanks...

    Hi Guys,

Just submitted my documents to NBV a few weeks ago and am still waiting for the results. I would like to ask for advice regarding my choice of school for the Bridging Program. Which school is the best for a Filipino with no relatives in Australia? What schools would you recommend?

    Thanks a lot!
