HI Everyone,

Is there anyone else out there who has applied for FNU Class 127 (June 2014 Frontier Bound)? I am a 2011 FNU graduate from the Bridge/CWHCNP program and have decided to return for my FNP and probably my DNP. I thought I would start this thread for all of us who are now in the waiting game for finding out whether or not we were accepted.

So, is anyone else in the same boat as me...waiting, waiting, waiting? I am assuming we won't know anything until April (ugh...that seems so far away!)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this week. I'm getting tired of checking my email over and over and having nothing!! The anticipation is killing me!!!

I have a complicated history with frontier! I originally applied for FNP 116 and waited and waited, then wait listed. I was eventually accepted into 118, only to find out that my state (Maryland) required some new kind of license and I couldn't go:( Now the requirements are all clear for Maryland and I am waiting again for 127! I started the MSN program at St Josephs College of Maine, but FNP at frontier is where I want to be. Good luck with the wait, it is a tough one. Hope to see every one in June!

Ugh! How frustrating! I hope you are successful in your attempt this time around!

last go around it was less than 6 weeks before the frontier bound date, but there was an exceptionally large application group at that point. If applications are not as plentiful, there may be less of a wait. I really hope so. The wait the first time around was horrible.

Okay, so when do you guys think it's reasonable to call and ask if they have any idea of when we'll know? Or is that just being pushy and neurotic?

Haha! Last time I called weekly and became a huge pain I am certain. I think 6 weeks before frontier bound is April 28th? That was what they used to say they strived for 6-8 weeks. Maybe call April 14 just to check progress? I was a mess the first wait. Did you apply for fnp or Cnep?

I applied for CNEP- when I talked to them last, they said that it would be sooner than it used to be, because they understand that such a long wait could interfere with our response to other schools that might be accepting us, so I'm really thinking that it will be less of a wait- IF I got accepted, I'd need to get a plane ticket, so the sooner the better- They made you apply again, even though they had already accepted you? That's rough...

I applied for the FNP. I already have my WHCNP through Frontier. I started in the Bridge program and graduated in 2011 with my MSN/CWHCNP.

Hi sweetfreedomgirl and tljames! I applied for the CNEP - I submitted my app back in January, thinking it was for Class 125, but then found out that I was in the 127 app group, so it's been a while... Anyway, I've wanted this for a long, long time, so I hope I get in... I am from New England- where are you guys from? An answer by next week would be great- This waiting is a killer...

Me, too! I applied for 125 and when I called I found out that I had been moved to 127. I applied for part-time status, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Anyway, when I called they had been waiting on a syllabus for review (never got any notification that they needed it, ahhhh!) so I ended up getting that to them late, but my packet went out in December. The wait IS excruciating. I wish you all the best of luck, I hope to see you all at bound! When I called them on the 14th, they said that "packets are going for review next week"!!!! I hope we hear soon!

When I wasn't able to go in October when I made it in, my application was on hold, to be reviewed with another batch of applicants is my understanding. So it's the same application (I didn't have to resubmit). I just have to wait some more! Hopefully all this waiting will be worth while!

So I also stalk another Allnurses post on here with the class 126 Bridge students and some of them started receiving emailed from The IT department welcoming them to Frontier and giving them their school email addresses. Their Bound date is a week before ours so hopefully we should be hearing something by next week!

I submitted my app back in January, thinking it was for Class 125, but then found out that I was in the 127 app group, so it's been a while...

This happened to me, too. I applied for CNEP class 124 - sent my application by FedEx - and somehow they couldn't figure out which class I was applying for. (They were able to cash my check right away.) My application keeps getting pushed back to later classes. Last I heard I was being considered for class 127. I just imagine a disorganized pile of paperwork at the FNU office or something. It's disappointing, for sure. I hope FNU is more organized when it comes to academics. I've heard that. But so far I have not been impressed with how they've (mis) handled my application.
