Isn't that a longish commute? Hope you have 4WD for winter, though it shouldn't be quite as bad as western MD. (MD is quite good about road maintenence, though. Snow tires and front-wheel-drive would be good enough, most of the time.)

Agree! But then, I remember reading something in the paper several months ago about new housing developments in Gettysburg, PA going after the the "suburban DC" market! Sounds kinda crazy to me ...

I'm in Northwest Louisiana now and it is where I grew up but I lived in Maryland in the Baltimore are for a while and worked at Johns-Hopkins for 5 years. I loved Maryland and wouldn't mind living there again.

good old State College, PA. Home of the Penn State Nittany Lion Football team, and residence of Joe Paterno, the football coach who now holds the record of the most won football games in college football games in history. The man is 75 years old, and he still walks to wour and back home every day. He only lives within walking distance from where I live. He made Penn State into what it is today, and these photos are old ones.
