Phasing out LPN's.
I'm hope that this isnt true! It makes me angry that LVN and LPN dont get the credit they deserve now! I mean look at johnson and johnsons commercial about discover nursing all those nurses titles are RN's. Who gives the right to decide whether or not LPN or LVN are vanquished.

White uniform dress common nowadays?
Wearing white is a personal preference almost nowadays. Its almost fallen by the side like the nursing cap. Although I have seen some nurses still wearing them. I'm with ben I wouldnt wear a dress due to the fact of my hairy legs.

"How old are you?"
I'm 32 and everytime I get asked that question I say how old do you think I am. I normally get the reply anywhere between 20-25. I did have someone tell me the other day I looked older than my dad which is 56. That shot that theory to hell. NEVER ASK A QUESTION YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO.

LPN student needing to vent about family
I was fortunate enough that my child wasnt born till two days before graduation. She was born 12/13/00. She is the most prettiest girl in the world. I lived with her mother up till 04-03. I'm am struggling with raising a child with a woman that has never really wanted to be a parent. The only time she has ever really truely wanted them is around Income Tax time. We never got along due to her 12 and 13 yr old boys. One is in a bootcamp and the 12 year is a total ***. Mother has never disciplined her children at all they cuss at her, gradmother, aunts, uncle etc. They have even hit, kicked etc mother. They are truely disrespectful.

Males in Nursing: Improvement or Hindrance?
Male Nurses Contribute alot to nursing. If you go back when nursing first originated it was the male taking care of the sick. Yes when florence nightingale came into the picture it switched from more men into women. Although we often get asked why didnt you become a Dr.

Murses
I have never heard this term being used yet. If I should ever hear it I would be disgruntled and would file a complaint against the person that used it. That is a sexist remark. I have never had any complaints from CNA or LPN/LVN or RNs as too being a male nurse. If anything I have always gotten the question from patients as to howcome you didnt become a Dr.
