wow 48.71 for security screen, i had to pay $6 for my criminal background check at Harris county court house.

I just got out of my pathophysiology exam... Man my brain hurts . Naturally when I'm done with the test I logged on to see any updates, congrats to those who got interview emails today! yay! (and to those who haven't, keep the faith guys, we're all going to be fine, regardless of the result)

I have to call "D" tomorrow, I applied to San Jac's ADN program too, and they used to same security check company that UTMB does. Rather than pay the $50 again, I wonder if I can just give them a copy of the report they sent me and the receipt showing I paid? $100 for two security checks from the same company sounds a bit ridiculous. Anybody else going through this?

And I believe that of the list compiled, I am the first go to in for the interview on Friday. I'll try to log in as soon as I can and let you guys know how it went, what to expect, etc... I don't think all of you will be able to see it though, as I think a few of you are coming in right after me, but we can compare notes afterward. I am wearing my black suit with a cute blouse, but should I wear the slacks or the skirt with the jacket, which looks more professional? I know I am overanalyzing, but like I said, I am braindead but still wired from my exam.

theredone you are definetely the first on the list at 915. i don't think you can go wrong with a black "suit" with either a skirt or pants.

when do you need to have the security check for san jac? i bet you will know utmb's decision by next friday..you might not need to worry about san jac.

thanks for the link ms. sealy! i just went and got the check done! i hope the fact they make us pay $50 to do it means that having an interview with them means more than at some other schools! i am so nervous and excited!! it is all becoming very real!!!

your welcome cjack15 (i want to call you car jack for some reason) i like the way you think...that $50 is like a down payment on a spot in class! we should have the results by tomorrow.

katie lou i'm not sure what a mic is, but the only reason utmb might frown about it...is if the texas board of nurse examiners has a problem with it. they make us do the background check up front because if we go thru the nursing program and then apply for a license ..the state board can turn you down if you don't pass their background check and those 4 years (pre-reqs and nursing) will have been for nothing!
