UTMB Spring 2010

Hey guys guess what! I got an interview for this friday! I told the lady over the phone that I wasnt going to be able to make it since its short notice ( I'm coming from Dallas), so she said she can set me up with a phone interview!!!!

I just got an email comfirming the interview on Friday and "A" said to get the security check done now. So everybody..git er done!

I got an email! and then I had to call mrs. A to set up the interview....I was very worried bc I knew I was not going to make it, so she said she is going to set me up for a phone interview. It was around 9am thats what my inbox said..and I just called her about an hour ago ( I had classes all day)

Ps It was in my junk mail! So you guys make sure you check the junk mail if you havent gotten an interview!

How do we go about getting this security check done? I was called to set up the interview and have not received the confirmation email yet. Did it give any instructions!? Thanks for the help!

If you go to the UTMB website under Nursing, Baccalaureate, there's a section on requirements. If you go there, there's a link for something like QuickChek or security screening (heck, I can't remember what it's called). Follow the links to your online background screening. I THINK it was $52.

Hey everyone im new to this forum and it sounds like im one the same track as everyone else. I have my interview last friday nov. 6 and it went well. any way the lady that interviewed me said that i should get a e-mail in a week so this week weither or not in get in the program or not. wish everyone well!

Jade stay hopeful, I believe even though you didn't get an interview you will get in. Just look at it as not having to go thru the nervousness of an interview. I met a person that started this fall in UTMB and didn't get an interview. Every good thing is always worth waiting for.

Ms Sealy age ain't nothing but a number. The lady that I posted about in my previous post thats in the program now is in her late 30's early 40's and has three kids and she is in and told me her lowest grade is a 85. So I see it as them looking at you as somebody who is settled in life and knowing what they want.

Congrats again to everyone who recieved their invite today and kick butt the old fashion way for all of those who didn't get an interview. HOOORAHHHH!!!!!!!!

awww thanks Jazzynurse2b! I'm still hoping for you! Afterall I believe it was ms.sealy, you & I who really began this thread...he he the original 3! No matter where we all go, I know all 3 of us will begin a nursing program next spring! :) I've accepted UTAs offer (deadline is the 13th) but I want to see where things will go with UTMB. Again goodluck girls & guys!
