UTMB FALL 2014

Anyone have any info on how they cut out a month? (UTHSC accelerated)

I believe that, UTHSC does not have a summer break. So it goes fall, spring, summer, fall, then you are finished at the end of the fall semester (December). There is a UT Houston (Fall 2014 Applicants) forum on here if you want to follow that, and if you're admitted a facebook group as well.

I'm following that thread too, but no one has sufficiently answered my questions.

There's a couple of replies from page 64 of the thread that said they got accepted, maybe I misunderstood or they got an acceptance before that date, sorry for any confusion. I had my interview from the beginning of that week so I was disappointed I didn't setup my interview from the week before, since a handful of people who interviewed the week before received an answer.

Yeah I interview on Thursday Feb 20th and had my offer the following Tuesday. I'm surprised more haven't been issued in the past few weeks.

Welllll when it comes to choosing between the two programs, essentially I'm choosing between a 15 month program with no summers off (which is what UTMB does, not technically called an accelerated track) and a 2 year program with summers off ( I applied to UTHSC traditional program since their accelerated requires a previous degree). I am so lost y'all, this is literally the hardest decision I've ever had to make.

I'm a bit surprised too, just making sure that I am not the only one still waiting to hear back.

I called and they said they would be sending out acceptances in April.

I got my acceptance to UTHSC in Houston a couple of days ago! (: Since it has been almost 7 weeks from interview at UTMB, and they have not responded to my recent emails... I have made a close to definite decision to attend UTHSC Houston even if UTMB accepts me at a later date.

I am almost certain all UTHSC students will be in a pacesetter program, which is 15mo also.
