I got a allheart cardio... What kind are you buying!?

When I started 2 years ago I got this one below and love it

Double didn't work.

I have a Littmann Lightweight II SE (in burgundy!). I bought it about a year ago for my healthcare class. I love it -- works like a charm. I will probably be upgrading to a Littmann Cardiology model. I love Littmann steths!

I start in the fall and I think I've finally made up my mind! I think in going to buy the MDF 777 in the color purple rain :) it was between the littmann classic 2 SE and this one!

I have the Littman Classic in burgundy with my name engraved on it. My mom bought it for me for my birthday. So far I am very pleased with.

My mom gave me a littmann classic 2 and I LOVE it! Mine is just a plain black one, but when I'm done with school I'm going to treat myself to a new one in a fun color with engraving :)

I don't know what kind I'm getting.

The place we get our uniforms from is suplying one for me, my scholarships and grants have already paid for it.

I hope it's a good quality stethoscope, I'd hate to have to pay for one out of pocket half way through the year if it breaks or doesnt work.

chances are its a double tube Sprague - if it does break they are only about $10-$15 to replace.

Me too. A cheap, double tubed, black, Sprague. Definitely not the best, but it'll do. My class was highly discouraged from buying anything too fancy or expensive, for school. Ours have to be approved by faculty. However, when graduation time rolls around I am going to SPLURGE on the best of the best, prettiest, shiny, hi-tech, most expensive stethoscope I can get. :yeah:

I have a Littman Classic that I got when I started Nsg School in 1987. It still works but I retired it in favour of another Littman a few years back. Still in great shape, I just decided it had served me well and was due to retire. (I took it a number of years back to get new earpieces and the lady at the medical bookstore looked at it and said "Oh my, they don't even make that colour anymore! You have had this a while!!") We have the ones supplied my the hospital (one of the doctors I work with calls them the Fisher-Price stethoscopes) in the clinic but I hate them and will not use them. I have always used Littman and don't think I would ever get anything else.
