Thanks. I was so scared after 20 years of being out of school.

Congratulations! Sometimes when you return to school later in life, you end up getting really good grades because you know yourself better and you know how you learn best. Keep it up!

I returned after 20 years and took one class only and received an A, then took A&P plus 12 credits, made president's list, then honors list following semester because I took less than 12 credits. I prefer to be 3% over an 'A', and it's a struggle to stay there or get back there during semester. I was very competitive in my previous career and I think that helps a lot with school.
Good Luck Shelexis .
I think having had a tough career for the last 15 years has motivated me in 2 ways. I have been a 911/police/fire/ems radio dispatcher and have learned to work well under pressure. I have also learned that while I loved doing it there was always the feeling this is not my dream. My husband and I have scrimped saved and pulled every extra shift available for the last 5 years so we could make this happen. Being older is definitely an advantage. My head is in a better place.

AWESOME, shelexis! Well-done. Older students can definitely have an advantage when it comes to focus, drive and experience with reaching goals. Keep us posted on your future successes, too. I know you will have many.
