  1. Boy Thank you , A lot of intellegent responses to my queries. Yes I admit that I get taken in. I also try to get a feel for fully integrated honest facts. When the people give statistics most of the time it is talked about numbers of cases and use that to keep people in a state of extreme fear. I admit I do attempt to cut thru the weeds. I also am skeptical of all the agendas that bias the reporting. That being said, my queries in my deepest opinion where heartfelt qhestions in the attempt to get honest responses. I thank you because I did get heartfelt replays and it has been helpful. I do realize that this is a dangerous virus. I stay isolated. I wash my hands often and wear a mask in close public places I do that because of my age. I realize I am in a high risk group. It is my responsibility to take care of me. True facts and statistics help me to make my decisions. It would be good to get fully transparent reporting by Media and Polititions. If anything would help would be the "Prime Law Amendment." It would keep everyone more honest.
  2. Since A common Cold is a Sars virus and picked up on the tests, How many cases are just colds and not the covid19 virus? CDC also says that a small percentage of deaths are actually covi19 deaths. Deaths are reported as cases, even though they test positive and die of other things. So could those positives be colds, another thing that I have questions about . That there is a Financial Advantage for deaths to be listed as covid19 involved. Does this advantage cause some smudging of the numbers? Just Asking.
  3. Almost all healthcare Businesses are collusion Businesses today as they are all suckling from insurance money regulated by government(our Money)or Government tax derived money (our money). What I am suggesting is : Instead of creating big pools of money for these lazy psuedo business people to just qualify for, lets take our PowerBack (OUR MONEY) let us dictate the terms instead of being at thier mercy{lol}. Why should these self appointed slugs dictate anything. Again lets handcuff the Government, and fire the insurance parasites. take back our money and power and i swear we will all be healthier and will have no shortage of PLACES to spend our health bucks that are in our bank acconts, not thiers. DOES ANYBODY ELSE SEE THIS?
  4. If Nurses would join forces and get behind a rational Healthcare Policy we could definately make a difference if not totally dominate the debate. When I say rational i mean a policy that will not have a "Large Pool Of Money" available for the Government and thier collusion Businesses to exploit and change to thier benifit over time. I can see no other way than to put the money in the direct consumers hand so he has the power rather than Government Or other institutions. Let Market forces prevail. Lasse faire Capitalism in its pure form has never been tried or allowed show it value to mankind. we only have small case evidence that it will work. Healthcare would be the perfect place to give it a shot. The small case evidence comes from the computer industry. The computer industry grew so fast by market forces that the government and all its colluders could not get a handle on it and exploit it for thier purposes. consequently the " Fountainhead" of values then spilled over into the marketplace and gives direct evidence of the value of "Lasse faire" capitalisms. We now can afford computers that only a few years ago would cost millions of Dollars { proof positive}Again Handcuff the govrnment and all its colluders and set the market free for the FIRST time and watch the magic of the free market do its thing. I would stake my life on the results.
  5. Don.t be Fooled! Only true unaided Market Forces will drive costs down. Ever hear the commercial "When Banks Compete You Win" well when healthcare has got to compete for your bucks and you can choose who takes care of you freely, plus you have your money in your pocket. then you will win bigtime. only then will the naked businessmen and doctors who are not coddled by government or protected from failure by insurance cos', ppos' or hmos' actually provide you with good service or lose you as a customer. It Is Your Hard Earned Money. You Should Not Be Taxed to take care of every Unhealthy Tom, Dick And Harry. oh by the way we could give Income tax breaks to hospitals and doctors who take care of the indigent pro bono. less taxes would also mean less indigent. Health Is Not A Right it has got to be earned by doing the right thing. Our System now promotes Illness. it is not " healthcare" it is sickcare. healthcare is a misnomer just like (LIfe Insurance) lol
  6. I am all alone now I can say what I feel everyone has left this forum I CAN SHOUT IN CAPITAL LETTERS ALL I WANT NOW> NOONE TO HEAR ME SHOUT lol. Ultimately none of this matters as in 2,000,000 years we will all be lumps of coal and in 10,000,000,000, years I will be a diamond (lol)
  7. Sorry about the caps. It is easy to pull up a quote. I am writing from my dicky-do and not pulling from the universe of other thinkers. I could pull in volumes from everywhere on the evils of collectiveism and the evils of any ism one can talk about. all ism are at thier base irrational as they are a system to exploit an individual. the only systems that make any sense are ones that promote individual responsibility. Yes there are many people with bad teeth. This is not the fault of of systems that promote responsibility. Quite the opposite we now have a system that promotes irresponsibility and I posit that UHC will only increase individual irresponsibility and you will still have a segment of the population with bad teeth. When I worked with kids in a psychiatric setting. I was in charge of 2 wards. one run by a Phsychiatrist who was fruedian and one run by a Behavior modificationist. Fruedian=No stress just support and do not expect any responsibility out of those kids. Behavior mod= promote and reward responsible behavior. make a cost (punishment)for irresponsible behavior. I am sure you can guess the results yep! fruedian ward was a wreck ,holes in walls kids were reclusive withdrawn openly destructive , masterbating, rocking to and frow etc. etc. Behav. Mod Ward= Clean ward kids dressed and clean, would line up in straight line to go to class, creativity flurished, the were happy for the most part, they became extraverted and played well and worked hard Quite a contrast and quite metaphor and microcosm of comparing a system that promotes responsibility and one that does not.
  8. who Said Anything About Immigrants. In A Purely Capitalistic System They Would Have Access To To Healthcare Just Like Any Other Person And They Would Most Likely Pay As They Would Have More Money As Thier Work Would Be Paid In Proportion To How Much The Marketplace Values Thier Work. We Get A Free Ride From Keeping Them Illegal And Paying Low Wages. Let The Marketplace Compete Fairly For Thier Services Also .
  9. Good Questions Spacenurse. Let me see if I can provide some insite to how to handle those predicaments. 1.With hospitals surgery centers competing for bucks they would welcome anyone who had the intent to pay. If a major surgery cost a years salary lets say after prices dropped. one could then take out a loan. pay over time and still be responsible and maybe become a better driver if the accident was his fault. or more alert if it wasn,t again saving future health cost. 2. Sharing the cost allows lesser responsible peaple to take advantage of more responsible people. In the long run this would increase cost to everyone.NOT FAIR. No incentive to be more responsible. 3. VA, MILITARY. etc. PAY These hero s for thier service and take care of thier bills until they are well enough to take care of themselves again and give them a medical savings account to pay future bills and let the marketplace compete for thier dollars. WE WOULD HAVE A DUTY TO THOSE WHO KEEP US SAFE AND DEFEND US. This way healthcare collusion companies would not have a guarranteed pool of money to suckle from WHICH ONLY INVITES FRAUD. 4. EMTALA I think that that is the anti dumping act. If peaple became responsible for thier own healthcare. then care would have to given with the expectation that it would be payed for. If people were expected to be responsible then irresponsible people who do not pay would have a tougher time getting care and those who paid even if they could only afford a dollar a week. Would have a n easier time. I would not be apposed to a charity system set up to catch peaple who are falling thru nthe cracks. Make sure it is charity and not a tax. We are charitable and that would be the most effective way to prevent the problem of companies suckleing from big pools of money and not competing properly. THE PROBLEM IS EVERY TIME YOU PROVIDE A BIG POOL OF MONEY THAT PARISITES CAN FEED FROM. COSTS GO UP AND CARE GOES DOWN. UHC WILL NOT WORK WELL BECAUSE OF THIS. MARKET FORCES AND CAPITALISM IF ITS PURE IS THE ANSWER. AGAIN GET GOVERNMENT AND COLLUSION BUSINESS OUT OF HEALTHCARE. lET MARKET FORCES DO THIER MAGIC. AND WE WILL ALL HAVE A SYSTEM WE CAN AFFORD AND LIVE WITH.
  10. Hey Guys I have a standard way I deal with Belittling docs. When a doc corrects me or gives me constructive critism I do not mind as I can always learn. But when a doc feels the need to belittle me. I puff up my chest and respond assertively. " I RESENT YOU TALKING TO ME THAT WAY!" usually they ignore that and keep right on. I persist " I DON'T THINK YOU HEARD ME. I RESENT YOU TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT! I stand my ground until they back down. When the dust clears and time removes emmotions it turns out that these same docs become good friends as they learn that I expect respect. Never Walk Away, Never Back Down. Always Expect to be treated with RESPECT.
  11. i am happy that someone else sees that we need to take responsibility for our own health. if we paid out of our own pocket with money we saved from supporting the middlemen. we would have a great incentive to get and stay healthy. we would then most likely avoid foods that lead to illness, as that would cost us personally. we would avoid getting injured instead of welcoming injury in order to collect a disability check.etc.etc. ad-nauseum. when will we ever learn!
  12. uhc may be better than we have now or it may be worse. if i were president and could have my way. i would get government and insurance companies out of health care. since we all have got to pay, one way or another., therefore i would propose we go back to paying out of pocket for services.( we would have thousands more in our pockets) let the healthcare community compete for my bucks. you want to see healthcare cost drop to almost zero just follow this recipe. does anyone else see what i see in this? computers avoided government and collusion business (insurance companies) controls and thier prices dropped and made us wealthy; this based on the power of cumputers we can afford today, as compared to 15 years ago. again get government and collusion businesses out of healthcare. watch costs drop like a lead balloon. we all could afford more than we are getting from those bloated beurocracies.
