I live in Canada and park outside. Supposed to get -50ish celcius. I have a newer car and don't run out to start it all the time. Every 4 hours is not necessary!

We sometimes will have a break nurse to come in and cover breaks which works really well. At other times we cover each other or the CSN will cover breaks

We have open visitation, especially with palliative. It actually doesn't bother me in the least. If they are too loud or interfere with care they are asked to step out or leave if it is really bothersome

We don't have UAPs at all so we do vitals, BS, full care, bathing ect

Pediatric oncology. Some kids are there 6+ months

I went through 4 jobs in my first 2 years. I now found a place where I love and the "job hopping" never came up at any interviews. I don't look at it as job hopping. You need to find something you like

Leave now so they aren't wasting money/resources on someone that isn't staying. And don't feel bad for leaving. You need to do what's best for you

We waste 3 ml, draw needed amount of sample then flush until blood is gone from the cap

That to me is the parents job

Try another unit! I went through 5 jobs before I found what I like (:
