  6. HCHD has two interview steps. All initial interviews are at lbj (w/ education director + recruiter) then if successful, you get to interview with the unit manager of your choice (either at lbj or ben taub). For the past internship in January, I heard every applicant was interviewed in step 1, not sure how this 1 will be. GL!
  7. meggo and twnurse_2010 sorry for the mix-up. I interviewed with TNWH rather not THR. I applied to the NICU (has been canceled) and womens services.

  10. Thank you all for the info (haven't been on here for a while). I actually got into UT-Houston at the last minute, and I am 4 days from being done (wheew!!). UTEP's nursing program is actually good for anyone considering it. Now onto NCLEX and Jobs!!

  13. Those are the same quetsions I was asked and the critical thinking too! She did asked if i had any medical experience( i had jx gotten my CNA card). And u'll be asked to discuss hw u can manage the semester work load.
  14. yayyy!! luckily for me i have all of my shots, cpr, physical exams done...i stll need the background check n drug screening, which should be over by the end of this week. Kinda overwhelming and i was expecting it, giving admission @ 2wks to the start of class but i'm grateful!
  15. Thank you to you all!! for all of your advice and tips! it did really help.
  16. Congrats!!! I also got in!! and the good news is i got in for fall instead of spring. i'm super excited . I got my packet yesterday. Now for the real challenge! I left a spot for some lucky person in spring, good luck to you all! I'll be keeping you posted
  17. Most of us were on the waitlists from the last application pool.
  18. I interviewed on July 28th, there were just 6 of us. They said we should be hearing from them in aba 3wks. I still have not heard anything from them. I call twice a week to check on my admission status( must be very annoying but...) The interview was great. Everyone spent less than 10min during the actual interview and there was only 1 faculty interviewing. Asking the usual questions...why nursing? why should we admit u?,when did u feel compassionate aba something?, any medical experience? some questions aba courses taken (hw many times u took a course and the grade)? be ready to discuss hw to handle the course loads in the semester. I will be calling them soon. good luck
