They have MORE THAN 6 programs that have no entrance exam to get into their RN program and they are FULLY accredited. They are costly BUT they are out there. You must have a degree or CERTAIN GPA level (some require both). GOOD LUCK!

i truly need some insight on this. so as nurses we take prerequisites "for the actual class we do need". after that we're placed on a wait list......lets not get into the discouraging time frame of these wait list, life changing events that DO occur while on these entry list, the re-apply process to get back on these list-they change the requirements on us or that our courses expire . my co-worker miss the teas by ONE point. she has to wait till next year to apply. she has more then enough courses, i suggested the 30 opt. she freaked out. how bad is it? the treatment nurse said if she did that no matter how far in her nursing education it would remain on her license. its late, the board is closed does anyone know if that's true? how bad is the 30 unit opt though? this is what state board has listed on site about it. thank you. LVN 30 Unit OptionDesigned as a career ladder for California Licensed Vocational Nurses wishing to become registered nurses. Takes approximately 18-24 months. No degree is granted upon completion. Most other states do not recognize California's LVN 30 Unit Option and will not issue RN licenses to these LVNs. Some LVNs prefer to complete an ADN program in order to obtain a degree and to have the flexibility to get an RN license in other states. Most ADN programs will give LVNs credit for some of the coursework they completed to become an LVN.

the rep that i happen to get was so rude, so discouraging, so unhelpful-i wouldn't attend if the program was free! the question was SIMPLE "am i reading this correctly, are you able to apply WITHOUT completing all your required prerequisite". she informed a whole LOT of unuseful UNNECESSARY.

:nurse:just stay focus and keep your mind set on the outcome you want and you'll get through it. those are some tough courses BUT its so worth it is it not?? looking forward to you updating us that you passed. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US IN SUCCESSFULLY PASSING OUR SUMMER COURSES "with grade we need".

wow. both are good opportunities. the beginning of the rn program is lpn....i'd do the rn. my nursing instructor taught me its always how bad do u want ití ½í±good luck on whichever you decide they will both open new doors on an entire new level í ½í±

i just finished the wound educators course. i didn't find it very helpful or supportive either. they don't respond back in a timely manner. when emailing they are sometimes unresponsive. all my co-workers went elsewhere AND SEEM MORE PREPARED AND HAPPY than i with my choice. i am not bashing or UN-RECOMMENDING them EVERY ONE has their on experience and expectation. if i could do it again i would not have chosen wound educators.

work 80 hours a week sometimes, i do visits and shift care! very dedicated to finishing up for my RN. two time business owner. HAVE CHILDREN. when i started same problem that caused the divorced. TO FOCUSED on work and making my accomplishments a reality........was married 13 years. started my nursing married, finished divorced. pursing my RN now recently separated myself mid way from completing my RN from someone that i did want to spend the rest of my life with. smh. i did dedicate a pint of baskin robbinz to "his" memory BUT HAD TO KEEP STUDYIN "HONESTLY"!! that wasn't going to be on my mid term and for damn sure it isn't on the NCLEX lol..............

Hang in there we have "all" felt that frustration at one point. Thumbs up to the nurse from cna to bsn-that's inspirational.You are "never" at an age unable to learn (wink)....GO FOR IT!!! Best of wishes n' GOOD LUCK!!!
