  1. I know what you feel. Just try to stay positive, even though its so super hard. I know people say don't start studying again, until you for sure know you did not pass, but studying will help the days pass by. I wish you the very best...
  2. Just keep thinking positive. I wish you the very best.
  3. Please dont feel bad. It's really bad right now in finding a job for new grads. I felt the same way. Some hospitals have even closed of their new grad programs because they do not want to invest in new grads. Did you try applying to County Hospitals??? You need to tell them that you are very committed and you would move close to the area so that they would give you a job. Good luck to you...
  4. Wow, I currently live in Los Angeles and things are tough around here. My wife and I were actually thinking about moving to Canada because we were thinking it would be more financially stable. Thank you for the insight.
  5. I started applying for jobs even before I took the NCLEX. New grads everywhere are having a hard time getting a position because of the current economy. You may have to apply to places further away from you location.
  6. I would go straight to the RN program if I were you, but that is just my opinion.
  7. I've read articles that when some nurses cashes in their pay checks, it bounces. Supposedly, hospital administrators are avoiding the subject.
  8. I know its really hard right now, but you just got to keep trying. You can do it...
  9. I loved my clinicals even though at times, the instructors were frustrating. I can see some people doing this career for the money. I believe people working in the health care industry have better financial security than others working in other career fields.
  10. I wish you good luck also....
  11. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing....
  12. To be honest with you, I went to a school where sciences were really simple. I actually had to drive 40 minutes just to get to these Community Colleges to do my pre-reqs. There were a couple of community colleges that offered the pre-reqs but the professors were rated bad. If you want to get into a decent nursing school, you need the good grades. Good luck with your studies.
  13. I took Kaplan and I feel it didn't prepare me enough. I will now try to use Suzanne's plan. Good luck with you decision.
  14. I had a B.S in finance and worked in the field of accounting for 3 years. After all that work, I decided to go into the nursing field. I had no regrets and if I was to go back in the past, I would have started in nursing. If you like to sit behind a desk and work with numbers, go with accounting. I love nursing because it is fast paced, you meet a lot of interesting people, and you also get to help people., Financial rewards isn't that bad either.
  15. I believe what you currently have is already sufficient. Your interview will weight a lot, so prepare well for that.
