  5. yeah I just keep praying that I did ok.....someone said you can still get your results over the weekend....so long as you wait 48hrs!
  6. Also the wait me be even longer for your quick results, because it just dawned on me that Monday is Martin Luther King day! Lets keep praying and think positive!
  7. Thanks Mom26! Good luck to you! Can you still get quick results even on a saturday?
  8. Good luck Go4RN! Good vibes your way! Thanks for responding!
  9. Well I took the big test today. 110 total. I had a lot of "who do you see first" at least 50. I also had a lot of medications. Only 3 select all that apply. No math. Man I feel like I did terrible. Anyone else have 110 and pass? or fail? Now the waiting game, I cant take it! I need some of that false reassurance lol. Good Luck to all test takers this month.
  10. Now at a local community college I contacted in my state of Ohio they do offer advance placement for RN's. The director of the program informed me not only do you have to be a current RN but that having your EMT-B is a prerequisite to the program (Columbus State Community College). I understand the role differences are huge and in no way expected to just be able to sit for the National Registry without any formal training. Paramedics and RNs are night and day when it comes to scope of practices prehospitally and in a formal hospital setting. By obtaining a medic license I think it would just make an RN more marketable for ground or air transport career down the road.
  11. Stay positive 80% pass their first attempt. Good luck:up:
  12. ARKYLE replied to Boston-RN's topic in Emergency
Thanks, my interview in the ED is this thursday. Looking forward to the interview, just graduated and ready to start the BIG job. Good luck!
  13. I to just finished up my RN program! Just excited to take my boards now! Good luck to you in your new profession!
  14. www.UniversityofPhoneix.com www.CollegeNetwork.com Congrats! and Good Luck!
  15. I would think a combination of ED/ICU would be ideal. Maybe 2 years in each setting. Advance practice would just be an added perc. Truly experience always speaks for itself.
  16. LPN for 3 years. Just finished up classes for LPN-RN bridge. Graduate January 9th! woohoo! Good luck all you can do it!
  17. 3 Guys out of 45 in my RN program.... Hang in there your a minority in nursing school. You can do it, good luck.
  18. Positive vibes to you.....Good Luck
  19. Check out Suzanne's plan, I hear nothing but good things about it! Its a sticky at the top of the thread. Stay positive and stick to one review book. I think alot of times students try to many sources. Stick with one and review alot of questions. They say you should be up around 3000 questions before you sit for boards. Good luck
  20. I used to be an EMT. Just graduated from RN school. I have the up most respect for all EMS professionals. We dont get the respect of fellow healthcare employee's. I loved working as a EMT but the pay was not much better than minimum wage. So again say thanks to your local EMS crews. Many of them appreciate it its a demanding job that doesnt get much respect. Be safe out there!
  21. I just graduated with my RN waiting to take boards. I used to work as an LPN in long term care. Its a wonderful enviorment to work in. You have more time to spend with the patients since it is their residence. You will become attached very quickly. Acute care and Long tem are night and day. RN's are gold in the nursing home scenery so im sure they are looking forward to getting you started ASAP. Good luck to you.
  22. WOW! Your making me look bad. Hang in there and continue with your plan of study I to have used Kaplan the review book and its great for test stategies. I currently have been using Saunders NCLEX-RN review. I am prepping for the secound phase of Suzanne's Plan. Check it out its a sticky at the top of the page. I hear nothing but good things about it! Good luck and stay positive.
  23. I just graduated with my RN waiting to take boards. I was a former LPN and EMT. Anyone know of a RN-Paramedic program in Ohio? I feel I am qualified for advanced placement with my experience. Thanks in advance. Good luck all.
