I totally agree with this statement. Alot of the girls in my cohort just aren't cut out to be nurses. I'm not saying they're stupid, but they just don't have the heart. Many of them are lazy, don't want to do the 'easy' work such as, studying, group meetings, etc... Alot of nursing is being able to work well with other people, even those you don't like. I just feel that many of the girls here are 'anti-people' people. Not the place to be if you're one of those people. Can they really just be in it for the money? I mean, in all honestly, it's not the best paying career in the world. They (and even I do sometimes) feel that the work is common sense, and silly. In some cases it may be, but that doesn't give you the right to blow it off. I hate to say it, but I feel that next semester most of them aren't going to pass if they don't step up their game. This semester was kind of a breeze (first semester, though).

Depends on the school, but from what I can tell you from personal experience is, no. Most universities require undergrads to submit ACT/SAT scores to get admitted. Nursing schools will not require you to submit these scores. I'm a transfer from a CC to a BSN program, and I know I was not required to submit. GL.

Hey all, I'm 1 of 3 males out of a cohort of 30. I constantly feel like my opinion is unappreciated, that I'm overpowered, and that women, when they're together, are complete and utter *******. It even seems like the female teachers look down upon the men. We're not gay, we hardly even talk, but when we do we get shot down. Any other males feel this way? No offense to women, it's just how I feel....

Hi all, I'm currently a student nurse, I've come along this website and I'm hoping I can gather more information about nursing from the community. Anyways, I have a question. Do any of you know what second-order priority is? It's a question in the back of the book I'm reading and I just can't seem to find it anywhere. An example of a second-order priority is: A. The need to urinate. B. An obstructed airway. C. A decrease of 28 mmHg in systolic BP D. Activities of daily living in the home environment. I'm almost forced to choose D because all the others seem like first-order priority setting. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
