LPNNHP

It seems strange to me that they have no inservice for staff for snf.

I enrolled with National Natural Health Institute. They have a Natural Health BS program that is affordable and a great loan process. They are accredited through GQA. The admit terms are strict but any qualified LPN or RN has no problem with admissions.

I am a acute nurse and I also do same day surgery. I have also done c-sections in surgery for the last couple of years. Sometimes I have to be second nurse for lady partsl deliveries.

Some RN's I'v come across that make statements like that are the same who had to retake thier boards multiple times. So what does that tell you.

So far I havent ment a LPN who works for a ND. I was hoping to get some time in a ND's office before I start my NHP clinicals. I worked as a nurses aid while I was in nursing school and felt the was good experience. So I thought of doing the same thing while getting my BS for my NHP. I am currently finishing my course work and should be in clinicals as early as fall 2009. This school will only place me for clinical time. They will not help place me as a LPN.

I think A&P was the hardest for me.

Are there any LPNs out there who have worked for ND's?

I make 19 an hr. as a LPN on an acute floor full time.

I have done; Same Day surgery, Surgery ( as a scrub nurse), Med Surge, Psyc., Acute and LTC of course. Now I am finishing a degree progarm as a NHP.

I am going to be taken a class on accupressure and will have to implament it during my clinicals as part of my NHP training. I am excited.

I must agree, I graduated from Medical Careers Institute which is a accredited college. The credit hours are more then most 2 year programs.

That is crazy! Yet another reason to turn to alternative medicine.

I have experienced some of that and find that though the challanges remain the same, the level of severity depends on the field. Acute nursing seems to have the least amount of BS in small hosp's.

Must be that state. I have worked in 4 states and never had a problem getting work.

I have ACLS and NRP and some others as I work in a critical care hosp.. But I have started a NHP program that will allow me to open my own practice or consult for an ND.
