I think that it sounds good to me! I've always wanted to be a LPN but not an RN since I was little weird huh? I dont want all the responsbility of the RN at least not right away. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions about the secret world of nursing! :)
So what depts do lpns work at in the hospital? I currently live in Western NY and I know that Olean General does hire LPNs, we even had one in the ER the other day when we went for stitches, however I live on the border of PA and they dont seem to hire them in hospitals at all only LTC or Drs Offices as MAs.
I currently have my CNA but would like to get my lpn. My question is can you take the NY & PA boards to be licensed in both states? The reason I ask is because i live close to the bradford PA border. I currently live in salamanca ny and the two hospitals for are area are each 1\2 hr apart. one in ny & one in pa. If this is possible it would tremedouslly help for job searching. Also the program I am looking at is Cattaragus Allegany Boces. Does any one have any review of this program? The only offer a parttime program in the evenings so it would take 2 years, but does not have any preresiquites as i have already passed the entrance exam. any help at all would be soo appreciated
