  1. Random thought - The higher people are on the educational ladder, the more you notice a difference in lifestyle and weight.
  2. Yes you will:). It comes with practise, expertise and a conviction that you know what you're doing.
  3. When you're driving on the road, and there's a speed bump two miles away, you don't slow down until you get close enough. Morale of the story- Do not cross the bridge till you get to it.
  4. You must need us to wear glasses or something!
  5. I'd turn around and sure you just for the heck of it.
  6. We don't use any of those except when charging. But look at it this way, Customer service, good customer service is NOT a bad thing in itself. When I go to a store or anywhere and I am spending my hard-earned money on your product or service, believe me when I say good customer service is a requirement or I'm gone. So likewise, when patients come into the hospital, they should expect a good service. Not saying go overboard but a good service is in order. Don't be so tunnel-visioned that you fail to see the big picture. The big picture being that hospitals now have to do what it takes to stand out from the crowd. People don't remember what you do, but they remember how you made them feel. Get with the program- customer service when done right is important.

If she doesn't want you, then you accomodate her. She has enough worrying with the baby without being uncomfortable in delivering. But judging from your response, you might be vengeful, so she will just have to suck it up and come out safe:mad:

A male physician is enough. Birth is both a beautiful and messy thing. I'm not sure any woman would particularly want a male there. Sorry OP>
  9. Two options here 1. you don't have to shut up and bear it. When she walks away, let her go and seek a more amiable nurse and work with her. 2. Have a conversation with her in explaining to her, that you need to understand more. 3. Just be more alert and follow here. If she has to invite you to follow her each and every single time, it;s going to be tiring.
  10. Oh pssh, you should have given me a minute. Got it
  11. I am not a lawyer maybe?
  12. To cut a long story short, just try as much as you can to do these vitals yourself while in the room assessing the patients. It saves you a whole load of grief.
  13. Please do me a favor- go back and ask them if they REGRET their current license (RN). Most times humans are like that (nurses especially), they gripe a lot, but wouldn't trade that license for nothing, except a better career with better pay, of course:)
  14. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/crna-salary.htmli'm pleased aleady:d
  15. Taking a sleeping ;pill does not equate to a well-rested sleep. It might work for you now, but you are not well-rested.
  16. Stop fighting it. Sleep will come when you're relaxed. While you're up, instead of being sad about it, do something else that you could be doing and then when sleep comes, go sleep. You can sleep in bits.
  17. I call B.S. on this- give her a few more years to become an expert and watch her make her own call/judgments, but this time informed judgments.
  18. did you let them know you were first an ma? if you did, then you talked too much and should dish out info about you in miserly portions till you understand the playing field, but this if true only if you are too quick to dish out info about you. just curious, what do the rns, lpns do? if nothing, then it's the culture of the office.
  19. I don't , I toss mine. I make sure I keep them in tip top shape and wear them for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time and then toss. Once it goes in the dryer, I don't particularly like it anymore, when it comes out.
  20. for a purely hypothetical answer, i would do just this.
  21. A weak spot is a weak spot, be careful who you share them with. A weakness can always be used against you and skewed to fit the situation. No one is all strong and without a weakness,we just have to be careful who we share them with.
  22. You said a lot of things up there and most made perfect sense. But I am wondering if you have discussed the things you mentioned above with the victim as opposed to dishing out meanness to her as punishment for the violations about. It is amazing what communication could do- it opens doors for people to heard and be heard. You've tried your methods and they don't seem to be very productive, I percieve, why not try talking ABOUT it with the nurse as opposed to speaking OF it and then, not even to the guilty party.
  23. My friend said something which I ABSOLUTELY refuse to type.Admin would ban me.
  24. Assumptions..assumptions.
