Upcoming NCLEX RN advice
I am scheduled for the NCLEX RN July 8th and I too am about done with the Kaplan qtrainer questions. When finished with them I will continue to go over all the ones I had wrong until I get them all correct. I am also doing questions every day from the online NCLEX 3500. It is free and here is the link: http://studentweb.deltacollege.edu/nclexrn3500/mainMenu.do;jsessionid=290B9E5E0FCF746B18AF5F477C69FA43 Make sure you know the common lab values. I have them on index cards. Hope this helps some.

Placement Test Question
We still had to take both unless we had college credit for both those classes. If we did poorly on the algebra portion of the test then we were required to take pre-algebra and pass with a C before we could move on to college algebra. Some classes we were allowed to CLEP out of so you might check and see which ones are allowed at your school. Good luck to you, I hope this helps

I hate studying the ENDOCRINE system!!
It seems like I get a lot of questions on Cushings and Addisons disease in the Kaplan q bank.

Pharmacology!
A friend of mine took NCLEX last week ... she had 4 pharm questions and she said she never heard of any of them. She was an LPN for 3 years before doing the bridge program. She did not study extensively and did not review any pharm at all. She passed with 75 questions. I'm just reviewing what we learned in class. Going over study guides, etc. I have one of the pharm books from Kaplan but it looks like it just consists of the major drugs we should already be familiar with. Good luck. I test July 8th

Kaplan?
I think 64 is a pretty good score. I took the Kaplan class and they told us a 65% was very good. I have a friend who took her boards last week and studied only with a Kaplan book. She was getting in the 60's on her tests. She passed with 75 questions. I am scheduled for boards July 8th .. I am using the Kaplan q bank and the NCLEX 3500 (free online edition) for review. Hope this helps and good luck to you.

HELP SATA questions
Hi I'm doing Kaplan right now and have been doing pretty good when I look at each answer as true/false. I saw someone had posted this suggestion a few weeks back and it has helped me a lot. SATA are so hard. One of my friends sat for boards last week and said she had 14 of them on her test. YIKES. She passed with 75 questions. Good luck to you

taking nclex pn tomorrow!
Good Luck I think from what I read everyone thinks they have failed when they walk out of the test center. I am waiting on my ATT to schedule a date and I'm sure I'll feel exactly like you do now when I'm done with my test. I've said a little prayer for you and I'm wishing you the best. Hopefully you will be able to get your results quickly.

LPN to RN
If I had it all over to do again (or know what I know now), I definitely would have went for the RN first.

67% on kaplan trainer 6
Congratulations to you ... I just graduated on Saturday. Will start the Kaplan program Monday. I have heard a lot of great things about their program, and am ready to begin. I hope to sit for the exam next month. I will post my Kaplan scores as I go through them and will let everyone know how I do on the NCLEX. I'm hoping to get good feedback from everyone about my scores so I'll know if I'm ready or not. To everyone getting ready to sit for the NCLEX I wish them good luck.

This Old Nurse
This old nurse, age 53, graduated yesterday. I have been an LPN for 30 plus years and returned to school 2 years ago to complete my pre-reqs and then entered the LPN-RN bridge program. I had only worked in a hospital for about 1 year back in 1980, and had retired from office work about 5 years ago. I grew bored at home and decided to return to school and get my RN. It had always been a dream of mine, and I decided to I better do it now or I may never get it done. It was really hard going, it seemed I worked day and night trying to "catch up" with all the new technology. I took a skills class with students just entering nursing and read everything I could get my hands on. I was tired most of the time, and frustrated a lot, but I never gave up. I love allnurses.com. I would read postings here that not only helped me with my assignments, but gave me the strength and courage to carry on. To anyone who thinks they're too old, too tired, or just can't do it ... you can. I'm living proof. I graduated Valedictorian of the class. Thanks allnurses for the great website, and to everyone whose posts helped me make it through.

InstantCert Academy
I used them to Clep out of Sociology. I used no other study aids except for them and passed with a very high score. I would definitely recommend, the actual Clep was pretty close to the questions they provided. I only used for about a month before my test date. Good Luck to you

Nursing mobility exam??? similar to PN NCLEX?
No technical questions like starting an IV or putting in a foley. Mostly the questions dealt with picking the best nursing action, a few questions on Insulin, signs and symptoms, etc. I worked in an office for may years before I took the exam and did very well. I did not study for the exam. It was all basic nursing knowledge. Hope this helps, if you're scared read through an LPN foundations of nursing text. Good luck to you

Nursing mobility exam??? similar to PN NCLEX?
There is nothing really to study for, it is basically a foundations of nursing type of exam. It was not hard and I believe it had a few very basic calculations. Don't fret too much, its not near as in depth as the PN NCLEX. Good luck.
