  1. Basically I'm wanting input on the types of clinical knowledge questions people have been asked. I'm essentially a new grad, got my license on 7/14, but no real hospital experience save for my nursing school clinicals. So I'm worried about what they may ask me in the case of knowledge. I don't want to freeze up, but if they ask me something like "What medications do you expect for the doctor to order for [insert disorder here]?" then I probably will freeze up. Passing the NCLEX was supposed to be the hard part. Not getting the job, GR! lol
  2. When you go to Pearson's site, log in and if it says "Delivery Successful" under Current Activity on the right hand side, then you can try the trick.
  3. Checked quick results. Trick confirmed! I passed!!!!
  4. Catching up on A + P is good. Mainly, prepare your entire life for this, cause its going to change you. I don't know if you work or anything, but be prepared to potentially quit/cut your hours in order to focus on school. I've had a couple friends who had to do that because they were failing tests, too much stress. Find those really good things that reduce stress for you in particular as well. Be prepared to set aside a lot of study time. And congratulations on getting into nursing school. =) I just graduated in May 09, took my NCLEX yesterday so... yeah. I know what you'll be going through. Oh, something else that's pretty cool... even if you're going into a class where you know no one... you'll make some good friends in your nursing class. Especially during clinicals. Make friends, do study groups. It helps. A lot. I'm pretty antisocial myself, but even having that one friend out of 30+ people helps get you through. GOOD LUCK. ^^
  5. So that pop-up I quoted earlier IS the pop-up for all of you passing? Sorry just trying to really clarify. You all can understand, I'm in that waiting period where I feel like I failed. >.
  6. Pearson Vue trick, eh? Well, I read through a lot of those posts about it and figured, meh, why not. Give it a shot. Gave me this: "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." So. Does this mean that I've checked too early? Or is this the "good sign" I'm looking for? Double posting this under my original thread as well. =)

  8. Saw all the nice little posts here, wanted to get in on it, plus its 1 hour post-exam and I feel like I failed. Like every other graduate nurse, right? I think I stopped at 85 questions. Or 84. Or 86. See, what's funny is that I wasn't paying attention at the time, ALL I knew is that I was passed 75 which meant HEY, I'm still in the game, its NOT OVER YET. Then somewhere in the 80s, the computer screen doesn't give me the next question, and I have the sudden urge to smack the screen, hoping the next question would pop up. It didn't. *sniffles a little* So yes, 80-something questions. And I'm 95% sure I failed? Reason I think this is because my last 4 or so questions seemed too easy. Seemed like basic knowledge, which I felt some of that supposed "basic knowledge" was stuff I've never even heard of. Oh, worst off, that last question? I can't remember it all. No clue if it was right, wrong, or if I had no idea. I can't even reference whether or not that question was considered basic knowledge, application, critical thinking... just don't know. *sigh* So I guess my question is... who else felt they ended the test with a handful of easy questions? And did you pass? Did you fail? I'm still convinced I failed. Just don't know what I'll do in the meantime. Oh. Saturday exam. Pearson Vue quick results will be ready when, Mon, Tues, Wed? Just getting some insight on when I can really begin to cry.
