Happy NCLEX thoughts for txspadequeen921!!
Denise, You conquered the great beast-the CPNE-the first time. That's a great accomplishment. Cry the NCLEX out of your system, relax for the week like your husband says and then retake. You've come so far and this is the last hurdle. The whole process is such a huge weight on one's life and emotions. It will lift. Much love to you

RN NCLEX vs CPNE
Too funny, Ivan! Ivan and Lunah are correct. NCLEX is nothing compared to the CPNE.

PASSED CPNE at AMC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
congratulations!!!! [color=#48d1cc]yes, the stress is incredible during the cpne, but when they say "you've passed" on the 3rd or last patient care situation, the stress just goes away. you can actually feel the weight leave your shoulders. [color=#48d1cc]good luck on nclex.

I feel your pain, Sue! I took a two and a half year break after NCLEX. My mind (what was left of it!) was soooooo tired.

Awesome job:nurse:- It's official -- RN!!!
8-8-08 :redpinkhe lisa, rn :heartbeat:nurse: [color=#48d1cc]how wonderful is that?- It shut off at 75! :)
Just 75 questions and Godiva mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. One of the nurses I work with is a former paramedic and probably the best ER nurse I know. :pExcelsior graduates excellent nurses.- Txspadequeen's CPNE Info Thread...
You make my head spin just reading your post! Where do you find time for all this? Seems like you would be a candidate for a Nurse Attorney with your background of a BS degree in criminal law. Just curious-can you not do the Accelerated Second Degree BSN? The one where you have an undergrad degree and then take one year of nusring?- Txspadequeen's CPNE Info Thread...
If I remember correctly from your posts, Txspadequeen, you have 6 (?)kids, a fulltime job, going to school for your BS and doing Excelsior! With that kind of dedication and time management you will have no problem with the CPNE. Yes, the huge CPNE book I received made me nauseated! It's been a few years now but I remember there really was only one section (it was big, though) to study from. I made a study plan for the weeks until my test followed it-(it was a 24/7 marathon study!) I broke my studying down into blocks and as everything began to come together I felt a little better each time. I downloaded mneumonics from a site that pertained to each critical element-it was then easier for me to conect to each CE. Did not know about Lynn's or the other workshops, I did the EC one. Seems like all the others are much better than EC. Good luck. - I Graduate as of 9/19!
