A&P 1 Spring 08
Today was my second week of anatomy and physiology and i think i have the key to success in this class. it is to read everyday and make flash cards and record yourself saying the terms over and listening to it as much as you can. The more variety you can put into this class, the better chances you have at memorizing and learning the information. good luck future nurses

Taking Anat & Phys I and scared "crapless"
Hi Brian, I am also taking anatomy and physiology this semester and it does seem like a like of information. The syllabus that our teacher gave us presented all the information that we will need to know on our exams. So, my advice to you is make flash cards and study them all the time when you can. Also, use your books website if there is one to help you understand concepts. Also, i record everything i need to know on a digital voice recorder and listen to it in my free time while walking on campus or in between classes. So between studying flash cards and listening constantly to the information, the better i will retain the information. I hope these are some good ideas for you and good luck with a&p 1 to a future nurse. Will18

A&P 1 Spring 08
I am so scared. i start A&P 1 on Tuesday. Everyone says this class is so hard.

First Time Student-Clueless About Supplies
My preference is a big 3-ring binder with tabs for each specific class. Also, i bring my 3-whole punch which fits in my binder for papers that are not whole-punched. i think what you have is enough. As the semester ges by, you will get the flow of things and see what you really need. good luck with your studies and have a happy new year!!!!

Struggling with Starting School....
I commend you for everything your doing. I don't have kids or live in dallas, but it seems like with your low-income that you should recieve alot from financial aid. I live in a low-income area and i recieve over 8,000 from financial aid in grants. I think maybe you should take the longer route with seeing from how much you get from financial aid, and you should get a lot. Also, the more years you are in school, the money you get increases from the government. Also, if you qualify for the pell grant, you can receive it until you get a bachelors degree. Also, a help with filling out the fafsa, you should apply as early as possible in the new year after jan.1. all you need is your last pay check stub from the previous year to fill it out. I wish you the best with hopes of becoming a nurse. I suggest you really talk to a financial aid counselor at your school with getting the most money from the government. good luck and god bless

i need some advice
Hi everythingbeth89, I'm a freshman at a university too and a pre-nursing student also. i also had a lot of classes this semester, which it's my first one too. It looks like you had a lot of major courses in one semester. Maybe you should try taking some easier courses with your science courses. Your science courses are what you want to do well in. So maybe you should take them one at a time. Don't get discouraged. Just try to study more and have good time management. I hope this helps. good luck
