I just wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful words of encouragement. I have gotten some good news my oldest daughter (9 yrs old) doesn't have to have surgery they are taking a wait and see if the meds help look at it. So I am so thankful for that. My youngest does have to have surgery but she will be okay I know that in my heart. As for myself, I am going to take a medical withdrawl this term and go back next term. They are going to schedule an appointment for me to have the mass removed and check it for cancer. I know that no matter what I will go back and become a nurse I haven't wanted anything more in my whole life other then my children. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind words and support thank you for the bottom of my heart. Kimberly

I didn't know where else to post this but here goes. It seems that life is again trying to sabatoge my plans. I start back to school and everything seems to be falling apart. Lets see where do I begin. My oldest daughter has to have tubes put in here ears again, now my youngest has to have her tonsils out, and if that isn't good enough I have two lumps in my breast and they want to you guessed it find out if it is cancer. Why can't all this stuff wait until Dec. when the term is over and I am not in the middle of 15 credits. I am having a meltdown and life seems to be biting me in the textbook. I have already dropped one class so that I don't feel like I am drowning. Am I ever going to get to be a nurse?

I am so excited to start school but so nervous as well. I have four classes this term Biology Basic Chemistry Math Psychology Then next term I have 5 classes and I am not as worried about those. Which seems really goofy to me. Microbiology Chemistry A & P Psychology Math I will then have all my classes done so that I can get into the fall 09 nursing program. I am just so happy to be finally getting classes underway. I want to wish everyone starting back to classes good luck and many A's and those of you thinking of starting good luck.

I can't tell you what is best for you but I can tell you what I am doing and maybe that will help you out. I am 37 and a mother of two girls 9 and 5. I started back to school last fall because after 20 years of being out of school I had to rebrush up on some basics. I am hoping to get into nursing school fall 09. I am taking four classes this term and 5 the next. It all depends on when you want to get in and how much time you have and what you are willing to do to get there. Good luck with your classes, and don't worry you won't be too old.

Thank you to all who applied. I personally have a 3.97 gpa I don't work I am lucky enough not to have to. I took five classes the last two terms. I will only have to take 4 this term and I will be taking 5 next. It will be tough next term. I am taking Microbiology A&P (but it will be my third time I have taken it both others are 5.5 yrs old and 12 yrs old) Chemistry Develop Psych and my last math class The A&P should be a breeze for me I got A's the other two times I took it but they are both too old it sucks.

I know that it is hard to do but has anyone ever been told that you can't take Microbiology and A&P at the same time? I have a friend that was told that she couldn't take both. I was told that I could but they thought that it would be tough but if I thought that I could do it that I could. Anyone else hear anything about that? Thanks in advanced. Kimberly

I am finishing up my pre-reqs this fall and winter. I have a 3.97 GPA right now I am going to go to Wayne State University in Mi. I don't have a second choice I am begging god to let me in here. :chuckle GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE Kimberly

I am sure that you are going to do great but I will pray for you and I both okay? I am nervous about chemistry as well. I have never had it not even in school. My father was a minister and I was home schooled and so that is not anything that I have been exposed to so I am a tad nervous. I am sure that both of us are going to do great though. Good luck :)

It is so very exciting that all of us are going to be taking our pre-reqs somewhat together. I will be taking my classes at Wayne State University in Michigan if I forgot to post that. Thank you to everyone who has posted, I am excited to get to know you all better. Kimberly

WaynestateKatie I have Biology 1510 class, for Chemistry Psychology. I don't know who I have for my Math class yet. I am very excited to start classes all except for the fact that I wished that classes started on the 3rd instead of the 2nd. My youngest starts her first day of school on the same day that I do so her dad gets to take her instead of me. I will be going Mon-Thus. from about 8 am until most days 1:30 pm then I have to go up for one hour on Friday. Congrats on getting registered for your nursing classes and I will hopefully see you around campus. Kimberly

Hello I am Kimberly and I am taking for Fall my Basic Biology 1 General Chemistry 1 Intro. Psychology Math 1000 (which is my last math class) For Winter I am taking Developmental Psychology Microbiology A&P Chemistry 2 Anyone taking some of the same classes? I think it would be cool to have people to chat with about our classes. Kimberly
