  1. Hi, I am JW and at my place of employment, I am required to work every third weekend. My week meeting is on Wednesdays, which I schedule off. If for some reason I need to work, I attend another meeting. I do have to switch sometimes for conventions and such, but for the most part, I do get to attend my meetings and have time for field service. I love the flexibility and the ability to work 3-12's. So, go for it! :) Hope this helps!
  2. Ours is 6 months for a new grad.
  3. There seems to be a delay with the PA DOS. My classmates names as well as mine have not been posted on the website and some of them passed as early as Monday!
  4. I took the ATI predictor in August and got a 63, which meant I had a 68% chance of passing NCLEX on the first attempt. My school was against me taking the exam unless I had an 88% or above but I still scheduled the boards anyway. After studying for 2 months (not ATI, I did not find it helpful), I passed with 76 questions.
  5. The PVT also worked for me. I got the pop-up 3 hours after finishing the exam on Wednesday and Quick Results said today that I indeed did pass the NCLEX.
  6. Thank you! I had about 5-6 "Select All that Apply" and a lot of infection control, prioritization/delegation and meds. Stay strong and focused, you will do fine. You WILL pass! I will keep everyone taking the nclex soon in my prayers.
  7. Took NCLEX-RN this morning and it stopped at 76 questions. According to the Pearson Vue Trick, I passed!!!!
  8. Taking mine tomorrow and I have this awful cold. Today, I'm taking my Kaplan readiness test and I'm going to go over some pharmacology and endocrine, which are my weakest areas. The journey is almost over. Now I'm starting to get nervous.
  9. I go Wednesday morning at 8 AM. I am feeling calm and at times anxious. Ugh! I hope to come back with some good news. Keeping all of us in my prayers.
  10. Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers - These are your Losartan (Cozaar), Candesartan (Atacand), Telmisartan (Micardis) and so on. Hope this helps!
  11. Congratulations, Analegna! You did it!!!!
  12. I'm taking the NCLEX-RN October 7th. I'm currently just using Kaplan and scoring 55-65% on both the QTrainers and the QBank. My school used ATI during our program, however I did not find it helpful. Right now, I seem to be scoring lower in Basic Care and Comfort, Physiological Integrity and Pharmacology. I really need to focus this coming week on those weak subject areas. I'm trying really hard to keep calm but it's so difficult. I wasn't even planning on telling fellow classmates when I was taking the exam but I found out 4 of us are attending the same center and at the same time. We need to stay strong and have faith - it'll happen. I'm praying to God it will.
  13. A pt who is 34 weeks gestation is suspected of using cocaine. what complication is the fetus @ high risk for 1-late deceleration 2-polyhydramnios 3-macrosomia 4-hyperbilirubimea A pt with meniere dz should be recommended to 1-low fat diet 2-low k diet 3-low sodium diet 4-increase high protein
  14. I'm also taking my NCLEX-RN in October. Right now, I am enrolled in a Kaplan review course scheduled to begin next week. In the meantime, I am doing questions on the Kaplan QBank, the Question Trainers and reading the Lippincott book. Right now it feels rather overwhelming. So much content and no idea exactly where to begin.
  15. For my pre-reqs, I had a 3.4 overall but a 3.8 on my pre-reqs themselves. Hope this helps!
  16. We go every other Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 AM-3:30 PM with a 30 min. post-conference on Sunday. We get an hour for lunch, but that varies by where we are assigned. As for picking patients, ours are assigned Friday afternoon by our clinical instructor. If the patient has been discharged by the time we get there on Saturday morning, we get to choose the patient ourselves.
  17. I think letters for early decision applicants are sent around February. I applied via regular decision and did not hear back until late April. I had all my pre-requisites finished with the exception of Chemistry and College Algebra and was accepted pending passing both courses with a C or better.
  18. :balloons: Congratulations!!!!!!!!! :balloons:
  19. I received my packet with the N-100 information yesterday. I was able to login to the Blackboard after a few attempts. There is a typo in the hyperlink given in the paper and also your last name has to be entered in lowercase. Did you have any problems logging in?
  20. Hi, I'm also in the evening/weekend program at Dixon :)
  21. I was never good in Math and had to take Introduction to Algebra as well as Intermediate Algebra. It was a struggle for me but I got through by just repeating the exercises over and over.
  22. Congratulations!!! :balloons:
  23. I'm glad this semester is over! I ended up with a B in College Algebra which I am happy with, since Math has always been a difficult subject for me. Now onto Chem which starts on the 29th.
  24. Taking Chemistry this summer session I.
