Took the NCLEX yesterday ..
okay i just took the nclex pn a second time yesterday and im sooooooooooooooo nervous and anxious for the results. the lady at the center told us that we could check the results tonite after 9pm but i went onto the pearson website, the website is down for maintenance till tomorrow 6am. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghh. im so nervous, i duno what to do with myself. since its my second time taking it, theres more pressure for me to pass. also, like the 1st time, computer stopped at 85 questions. so im thinking i bombed it again..but i walked out of that testing center feeling better than i did the first time. this time was not "as bad" . only one med admin question. and tons of pharm. i feel more prepared this time around because i used the Saunders comprehensive review. The rationales helped me how to choose my answers on the test wisely..i took my sweet time on each question.I HOPE I PASSED :uhoh21:

To those who failed the Nclex the first time..
i failed my nclex the first time and im about to take it a second time in november...i overheard some of my bf's family members talking about how i failed the NCLEX PN the first time i took it.. they commented on how miserably i failed the NCLEX PN the first time , then i would not survive taking the NCLEX RN..it was more like they were saying that i cant handle becoming an RN if becoming an LPN is "supposed" to be so simple.. i FEEL horrible about this.. how can anyone be so mean. after all i did survive thru LPN school. this just knocks down my confidence level down to a zerooo..please give me some encouragement. it keeps on playing in my like a broken record .. i duno what to do anymore. im supposed to stay focused since im about to take the nclex again and study hard.but this is really hitting me hard.......

Saunders Comprehensive review
THe big differnce between the Q&A and the comprehensive review is that the Q&A only has questions and answers with rationals. comprehensive review is basically what the title says... a review book and has questions at the end of each chapter. much like ur books when u were still in nursing school.

Saunders Comprehensive review
wow i think u shud just buy the book since ur taking it in a week. but on the other hand i think its a lil too late to be using that book as a review, it has ALOT of materials, i mean ALOT. i think everyone whos used the book can agree with me on that. also since ur taking the test in a week, i think it would just be too much info all at the same time. if you;ve used other materials to study, i suggest u just stick with it , so you dont confuse urself a week before taking the exam...

Saunders Comprehensive review
if you refer to the beginning of this thread, i had also said that i was gonna use this book.[Q&A] but suzzane says that her program will only work if u use the Comprehensive REview book.

ATI Study Materials?
wow im surprised that most of you guys did well on those ATI tests. when we used to do those practice questions in school people had LOTS of trouble with it. also it WAS no where near nclex style questions. some found it much harder than nclex, some found it easier. but i have to admit the set of books were alot of help getting through school, coz it was detailed to the bone. well as you can see ATI did not help me pass nclex the first time around..using saunders now and suzzane4's study plan

How many questions?
Well i agree with both Eric and Heather. I havnt really kept count on how many ive done so far the most important thing is the percentile ... :wink2:

Saunders Comprehensive review
i wouldnt "JUST" read the ones with the triangles on the side. i actually read the whole thing and for it to sink in even more i write my own little notes, for the ones that i have trouble with. those triangles are just helpful/important hints..

How many questions?
How many practice questions should be answered before sitting for the exam. I know people who have done 2500 and passed 4000 who failed..

Thanks Be To God I Passed

Am I prepared to take the Nclex???
i believe you have to do 75% or better in order to be well prepared in the exam. this is what Suzzane4 says in her 6 week study plan with saunders. if you score 75% or higher then you can move on to the next chapter...
-
Length of time it took to complete questions in Saunders?
ahh we are on the same boat.. i did worse than 75% too on some chapters, some times i think im gonna need more time..anyway i thought her study plan was to finish the book in 6 weeks just doing the questions in the end of each chapter and if u do worse than 75% then u have to reread the whole chapter.. correct me if im wrong..
