  1. Sorry, just seeing this. I found a Psychologist in Tyler Texas, for around $1800.
  2. Thank you for well thought out responses on this post. I am currently navigating BON's troubled waters and the level of anxiety it brings is rather nerve-racking. Reading from someone who's been there and done that makes it a tad lighter. Thanks again!

  4. Hi folks I cannot seem to find any psychiatrist willing to perform a board ordered psych evaluation. I have called and looked online but to no avail. One psychiatrist even told me him and his colleagues wouldn't because of the liability involved. I'm totally screwed and stressed... I even wrote to the board to see if they have a list of recommended places I could obtain one, they wrote back and said I have to find my own. I need recommendations... Please help!
  5. Also for employment, self register with NHA to take the Certified Medical Assistant exam to work at Doctors offices/urgent care. It’s what you already know and the pay is not RN pay but close enough to LVN pay (if you know how to sell yourself) Hang in there, this too shall pass!
  6. It’s a shame what we have yo endure in the hands of these toxic facilities. 3 years here too. I’ll shoot you an email.
  7. My question is: What happens if you can't find a job during your probationary period?

If there are more stringent ways, LSBPNE will definitely employ. Keep us posted, praying for you.
  9. That was insightfully written! Thank you for sharing this. ??????
  10. As per the board regulation and order summary, you are mandated to show a copy of the entire book thrown at you to your potential employer.
  11. I totally understand and empathize with you beloved. I recent got a default order after being suspended for almost two years for allegations with no proof/evidence whatsoever. And my attorney, another sordid story! It is “GUILTY until proven GUILTY” and it’s such a shame that this will follow me everywhere I go for the rest of my career. I know someone talked about quitting altogether, I considered the option but my love for nursing wouldn’t allow that. It’s a shame!
  12. Wow! I hope everything goes well for you. keep us posted.
  13. Well, you might want to look into agency CNA during this covid crisis so you can save up. Also, unemployment insurance might be a good idea since your hours are limited. Good luck to you, keep us updated.
  14. Do you have malpractice insurance?
  15. Congratulations! Bottom line, you got it back.
  16. Some people just come on here and play Judge, Jury and Executioner. Let he without sin cast the first stone! People make mistakes, bad judgements, impulsive decisions... That doesn't make them bad people, it only makes them people! Hold your head high and chin up... This too shall pass Abbey xxx
  17. Could you explain this further? Reported the board/DA ? To who?
  18. I agree. The board have a team of lawyers who have never set foot in our shoes and never practiced as nurses, you should get you one too.
  19. Based on the comments I have read online and interactions with LVNs from Louisiana, the BON down there is known for strict penalties. It wouldn’t hurt to get a second opinion from a lawyer who specializes in nursing license protection/reinstatement and deals with the board down there. I have colleagues who had to transfer their license because of the said “foolishness” with the board there. With that being said, don’t stop fighting. Keep your head up.
  20. Sorry to hear this. I know you’re ready for this to be over but be rest assured that they don’t have your interest at heart. Do not attempt to go in alone, contact and hire an attorney ASAP. All the best.
  21. I have seen this with my own eyes and believe you me, they truly give you 10 days from the date of the letter which automatically makes it like 4 days considering the weekend and postage days to and fro, but the attorney can write and ask for an extension which is always around 10-15 extra days from the date of the request.
  22. How did it go with BON? Hearing? Hope all is well with you?
  23. Wow... Your story brought me to tears! Congratulations ?
  24. I don’t have a beef with BON, this was nothing but a question raised at the nurses station. Thanks for your insights.
  25. Bottom line, all BON got to offer is licensure, period!
