My ER is still 5-1 just like pre Covid. 4 rooms and 1 hallway. 2 trauma nurses floating if they don’t have a trauma alert. We aren’t any busier than pre Covid 225 pt a day The pay and incentives have become amazing through. The nurses are making higher hourly than I am as an FNP($80/hr)

Like I said it’s the fat women in my department who complain about being sore. The fit people will pull 60-72 hour workweeks and not complain because it’s not a physically demanding job for someone who takes care of themselves. there are physically demanding jobs out there. What job starts at 150k? My first nursing job started at 60k and overtime shifts were around $700ish with differentials. It was easy to make 100k my first year as an RN. None of my friends whether finance, accounting, etc started at that pay grade. There is no physical toll in nursing, its very easy on the body. I have primarily worked in the emergency department and have always pulled 60-72 hour weeks although now I am doing FNP/PMHNP work for the last 2 years., Sliding a patient up in bed a few times a day or helping people move around is not physically difficult. If you keep yourself in good shape and not gorge yourself on garbage like 80% of nurses do then a 12 hour hospital shift should not be hard on your body. The nurses who complain about being sore after a shift are generally fat or they have never worked a real physical job in their life. Please tell me one Bachelors degree that starts at 150k.

Why does their race or gender matter? Why is it okay to point that out? It says you are retired. Try being in the job market now. I have been on multiple hiring boards and have been flat out told whites aren't going to be hired particularly men. As an Afro-Cuban I acknowledge my tremendous advantage in the job market due to the color of my skin and bilingual ability. I have both black and hispanic privilege making my career advancement very easy.
