Welcome!

Sorry, but I wish I knew more about UTA's program.

Hello! Welcome to the forums! I just started looking into the UTA program myself.

Good luck!

welcome to allnurses mansfield chick

Welcome ! I graduated from UTA about 10 years ago and the program has changed dramatically. I understand pharm and patho are pre-reqs now ?? Wow. I thought it was a good program. Like an nursing program, there are going to be the majority who do great and are a credit to the program and some who are not so great. They have *amazing* electives and clinical sites. I spent one summer taking the ER elective and spent 200 + hours in ER/Trauma at JPS. Our critical care class was semester long and we spent 2.5 days per week in the cardiac transplant unit and CVR at BUMC in Dallas.

I am currently in the FNP program and love it so far. I wish I was a more recent graduate so I could answer your questions !

hello there...im in joshua.. small world . Good luck at UTA, my husband is there but for engineering...

JPS's ER is unlike any other in my opinion!! The year I worked there was a year I wil NEVER forget! I learned a lot!

Hello and welcome to allnurses.

:welcome: i have also looked at uta and after talking to one of the clinical instructor's

(a pt at my doctor's office) i learned that the program is hard to get into if you have not taken your classes there the whole time.:uhoh3: i am planning to take classes their in the fall myself but transfer back to the jr college system.....cheaper

All BS programs pretty much give priority to students who have taken their pre-reqs there on that campus. TWU does it by adding a couple .0's the GPA of those who have a certain number of pre-reqs at that school. I would bet Baylor and TCU do the same thing in one way or another.

Hi there! I will also be completing my prerecs there in the fall and have applied for spring admittance. I'm very glad to find someone in the same "boat". : ) If you want, feel free to PM me, we might be registered for some classes together.

Good luck to you!

I'm at TCU right now in the ABT program. If you take your pre-reqs there, you are automatically in the nursing program as long as you have the grade.

Good luck
