Newbie here!

hello everyone! this is my first post, but have been visiting this site for quite some time. this fall i will be attending uta and taking their 3 prerequisite courses and have applied for their rn program for the upcoming spring semester. is there any uta nursing students/graduates out there that can give me some insight on their program?

thanks for all the welcoming messages....i guess i'll see you at uta this fall momto2beauties.

yep, hard to believe that it's just four short weeks away!! ugh!

i am not going to attending uta, but my dear best friend is. she would defenitley recommend that you practice on your writing. after you take those pre-req classes at uta you have to interview with this board of nurses and write a paper. she had spoken with students that had applied previously and not gotten in, they basically said that the interview and paper is what makes or breaks you. my personal suggestion is to get close to the advisors so your face is familar and be prepared for everything you least expected. the good thing about uta is that gpa is not the only requirement, like at twu. they changed thier pre-req's for fall so i wasn't accepted. i have chem 1405, not 1411. hope this helps. feel free to send me a pm anytime, i can ask my friend for help on any questions you have, oh yeah, welcome to allnurses!:groupwelcome:

Hi Mansfield Chick, I just moved out of Mansfield, I loved it there though. I live right near mansfield off Green Oaks, Im sure u know where that is. Anyway, I'm taking prereq's at Northlake (extension of El Centro). May try for the UTA program also. I hear from other friends that it is not as hard to get into as El Centro. Also there are a few extra classes that I would rather not take that you dont have to take first at El Centro, like Nutrition.
