Missing Daytonite

I miss her too...so often I look at her posts for support....

Rest well, we will all miss you, a true good spirit, gave a lot to all of us.

I wasn't active on AN when she was. I lurked occasionally, but never interacted with her. I always admired her though.

It was with great sadness to hear of Daytonite's passing several months back. While I was in nursing school and had some trouble understanding some areas of advanced pharmacology and ABG's, she never once shamed or ridiculed for the help or advice students were seeking. She gave a treasure trove of vital and invaluable information to us all. I attribute my passing that pharm class with an A to her. She was truly a rare gem among nurses for all she did and devoted to us here on AN.com. She is a nurse angel.

Something that I just remembered: the links that she posted.

What always impressed me (other than her wealth of knowledge, guidance & patience towards students) was the quality of the links that she posted. Her knowledge + links made such a valuable contribution to my learning! I'm still learning from her posts today, as I'm sure many others are.

It's ironic to see the post. I was just thinking about her recently also. She helped me get through school in so many ways. When I have questions, I will google and it often comes back to AN and her posts. She is definately missed. I feel for todays students that don't have the opportunity to interact with her, she was a wealth of knowledge and so willing to share. As someone else said, a nurse's nurse

I am so very sorry to here of her passing. I read so many of her post while I was in school and PM'd her to tell her how much I learned from her. All I have to say is heaven is lucky to have her!

She was very kind and always helpful even when I was a student, many of her posts helped me greatly.

Just read some of her stuff. Would've loved to have precepted with an amazing nurse like her. RIP
