I need to interview an RN/LVN/unit specific nurse. They made no real attempt to find any nurse to talk to in real life & their interview paper is due in

Then there are the brand new nurses with 3 weeks of experience who think all the "old nurses" need to get out of the way and let them have it. Makes me want to go, "Here honey, you can have my CVI/Open Heart job. Been doing critical care for 38 years and I still don't have a clue what I'm doing. I know absolutely nothing about technology. I need a wheelchair to get to a code." Shuffling off to the old folks home now.

Somebody told me to get another job because she wanted and deserved mine! Well, she finally got a job on the unit, passed her probationary period and promptly went on disability and hasn't been sen since!

What am I doing wrong?

I would think after alllll those tries, one would be an expert.

The floor nurse doesn't want to teach me! Why are they so mean? Don't they remember they were students once to?? And I'm paying $100,001 for my education!!

Where is my clinical instructor? Well she's veeeeeery busy. My nurse needs to teach!!

How do I get a job in the ED/NICU/ICU/L&D?

Um, same way that you get any other job...

Or the people who are like "I either want to be LD, hospice, or a CRNA. Which should I choose?"

You do realize those are all ridiculously different specialties, right? Maybe just focus on one application at a time.

I'm just annoyed by all the PVT new threads. Like I get it, they're excited, but i was a nursing student once and I knew where the post nursing student stuff - in the nursing student forums. So I find it hard for people who can't figure that out.

What combination of classes should I take?!?! Should I take a class with this professor?? At clinicals the nurses do nothing except for sit at their desk charting.

Or my personal favorites:

The cry for nurses to have well oiled hair and form fitting scrubs.

Nurses actually fetch water for their patients?! I am not a waitress!!

How do I skip bedside nursing because doctors are the ones doing all the work and I want to be a NP and not a lowly nurse.

Especially if you are ranting that LPNs aren't real nurses and you are pre-nursing major (I mean what in hades is pre-nursing?)

Well, my new manager actually never spelled out the word YOU for about the first two weeks. Email after email she would write 'U', even to emails that were CC'd to upper management. She must have eventually gotten talked to, because she now writes out the word you!
