Once again, I am struggling until payday. I had $2 to my name and needed gas. Gas here is ridiculous, we're talking upwards of $4.50/gallon. I went to the gas station and told the attendant to put in $2. He looked at me, smiled, and put in $5. :redpinkhe. I asked him what he was doing and he said to me, "It's OK. One day you will help me." You bet I will.
There are some kind people out there. This guy is one of them :redbeathe I cannot tell you folks in cyberland how grateful I felt for this mans act of kindness. :redbeathe He is an angel and because of him I can make it in to work tomorrow. He did not even think twice about helping me out. That right there is true kindness. I am tearing up as I type this.
I guess my point for those of you who are feeling beaten and worn down, there is kindness in the world. I too was feeling depressed and stressed out. Money woes are the worst of my problems. I know our jobs can be thankless and heartbreaking but hang in there. It is times like these that the saying: "You reap what you sow" come to mind.
Thanks for letting me share my story. May you all have a fantastic life and plow ahead.

I'm a big believer in pay-it-forward. You never know when the person you help out with just a minute of your time or perhaps a dollar or two helps someone else out who eventually helps you out... all because you helped someone. You just might make someone's day a little brighter just by saying "good morning." You may never know the good you have truly done, but you won't be worse off for it!

Many years ago, I had a wall-hanging that said "If you see someone without a smile, give him one of yours".
Thank you for giving me one of yours. My entire day will now be better, and I will share your story and your smile with others I meet!
Best wishes!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm going to be on the lookout for ways to pay it forward...actively looking, not just letting them happen.
Thank you for giving me a jump-start in what I should be doing!
