Hello, I'm a college student and soon as I turned 21 last December I was cut off of my mom's health insurance, but I recently got accepted into a nursing program and need a ton of vaccinations, we're barely making ends meet and I'm not sure where I'd get the money to get them from, does anyone know any programs or payment plans that help out?

I thought the ACA allowed children to remain on their parent's health insurance until age 26?
I would talk to your school's health office about a) getting your own insurance, and b) finding out if they offer cheap or free vaccinations.

I did a google search and came up with these:
https://www.vaccines.gov/getting/pay
https://www.verywellhealth.com/how-to-get-low-cost-vaccines-for-uninsured-adults-1739000
Congrats on getting accepted into the program!

Yep, check with your health department. They are usually cheap or free!

Did your mom just decide to take you off her insurance? By law, you are entitled to stay on her insurance until age 26. Something isn't right here.
County health departments generally give free vaccines to people who cannot afford to pay.

No she didn’t take me off, when I called they told me because I’m 21 “Legally an adult” I couldn’t be on her insurance which I thought it was under 26 as well

That makes zero sense. First of all, in most states, except for alcohol consumption "legal adulthood" begins at 18. Secondly, the ACA prohibits this kind of action.
Your mother should be raising holy hell.

You will be required to have insurance as a student. You can check the school insurance out and see when it starts.

26 is the age. Something is not right.
Now, they could have some kind of company regulation that requires your mother to pay for dependent coverage at age 21. She needs to look into the company policy for you.

I was told the 26 rule only applies if it were insurance through her job, which it’s not so they wouldn’t add me back unless I were pregnant or had a child
