How do you sign your name?

Specializes in ED, School Nurse.

This is inspired by another thread. How do you sign your name when you sign off on stuff at work? I use my first initial and full last name. Like this: O. Bobcat, RN I have a pretty unique last name, and there are no other nurses in my state with my first initial and last name.

My boss at my previous place of employment told me I needed to use my full name when I signed, but I never changed the way I sign after she told me that (I'm such a rebel!)

I use my full name including middle initial when I sign non-nursing related things.

I sign my name T. Commuter, RN (first initial, last name & title) on workplace documents. After a decade of doing this, I have no intentions of changing a thing.

Well... It's my name, but I have such terrible handwriting, no one could ever tell! First, last, RN. Sometimes I have to print it out for transport and that is hard.

I sign my name as "B. completely illegible scribble RN"

P. Last name RN

I used to do a very ledgible Libby 1987 RN.

Now I do first and last initial followed by illedgible remaining last name L1~~~~RN

One of my first employers required the former but after seeing for several years how my current admin signs I quickened it up.
