How many of us work on RN only units?

Specializes in Oncology.

Just curious how common these are and what specialties they're seen in. They seem to be getting more and more common. My floor is RN only (probably due to the sheer number of blood products and IV pushes we do), but the kidney/pancreas transplant floor I interned on had one LPN.

Specializes in Neonatal ICU (Cardiothoracic).

NICU here. All RNs. Our one LPN was forced to take a tech position when the hospital began eliminating LPNs.

That pretty much stinks. Are they helping her go on to get her RN?

All RN's here. Tele/step down vent unit. There is one LVN on nights who was grandfathered in when they switched, but that will be it-- they won't hire any more..
