I've just found this site and have found it a great resource for moral support and information. But in reading down through the posts I have noticed something, so I was just wanting to throw this out, how many of you are perfect nurses?

I am an asthma specialist nurse but know very little about secondary care now- having worked in primary care for 16yrs, I would be totally lost in a hospital enviroment!! :) There is a great deal of expertise on this site.. thats one of the great things about it.why do you ask........??Karen

FAR from it. Nobody here acts that way to my knowledge. Just curious, why do you ask, or were you being sarcastic?? We are all good at the things we know to do, and always have room for improvement and learn something new daily i'd like to think.

I am not perfect by any means, and I do not believe that I have ever met the perfect person, let alone the perfect nurse. I have met a few people who
THINK that they are.

I work with people who think their perfect. I work in the OR and some think they were born with the scapel and forceps in their hand. I admit I'm not perfect and never will be.

No perfect nurse here! LOL Actually, I don't think I've ever met a "perfect" anybody....
I really enjoy the interaction at allnurses, because you get to see things from a different perspective...see how things are done elsewhere. We tend to become "insulated", I think, in our own areas, our own practice, so it is refreshing to see other ideas. Of course, just like anywhere, different personalities emerge when a group of people interact....
So, I too am curious, why do you ask?

Can you tell I have some self-esteem issues to work on? I work with a few people who think themselves perfect. There is one doctor who likes to say, " I was born with all the knowledge I have." But does that mean he knows as much as a newborn? Hmmmm....
