Have you literally prayed over your workplace?

How's that working out? Any impact on patient's health or coworkers whatever? I personally am utterly baffled that you would do this but seeing as you do when nobody's around, i'll file it under ummm, ok.

Is it possible that someone knows you do this and offers up some counter hoodoo?

Yes I've prayed for my PTs, for myself, thanked God for my co workers, etcetera. I just do it discretely. No one knew. Yes it was beneficial.

At work I have opened the windows and cavi wiped the surfaces to remove the bad energy. It's an Irish thing.

Yeah, it's an Irish thing for sure. I've done similar after a bad case in the OR, etc. just part of my "clean up and regroup" process. I don't think I share the same religious perspective as the OP so no, I've never prayed over anything/anyone. I'm more of a positive thoughts type.

I absolutely do this- I do it every day when I am at work. I pray for the wellbeing of my patients- this may be through healing or simply peace/comfort. I pray that God lead me in the direction in which He needs me. I pray for Him to watch over my mind and my hands so that I may provide quality and compassionate care for my patients. I pray for the knowledge needed to do my job. When a RR/code/trauma etc is called over head I pray for the patient in question and the team that is caring for them. I pray all the time, everyday. I love the Lord and I rely on Him completely- that dependence leads to prayer.

I've sprinkled blessed salt and water at the thresholds and windows of rooms my patients have died in once their body goes to the morgue. I ask the Gods and Goddesses of death and rebirth to guide the patient to his or her afterlife, and ask the deceased to not return and to go on.

I do this exact same thing. I am a Christian and completely believe in the power of prayer and have seen it's benefits. Thank God there are still others that do this, I see too many atheist comments that make me sad, however this comment made me very happy!

Yes. In my life it is necessary. For the poster who said they would be "none too happy" if someone prayed over you, my guess is that you wouldn't know. And, why the big deal? Are you afraid that something may actually happen as a result of a prayer or two? (I'm not trying to sound snarky, I am genuinely interested in why it bothers you that someone would pray over you.)
