Goodbye...

For quite awhile, I've been feeling more and more dissatisfied with the content, tone, and bent of many, many threads on this board.

I think I've just hit my limit.

I'm formally withdrawing from participation here.

To some of you, farewell...

To others, good riddance...

I enjoyed your posts, but I understand. I have disappeared from AN for months and possibly years at a time. Every now and then I would come to post something knowing it was the only place people would "get" it. Please return if and when you like.

I will miss your posts. Please reconsider!

:( I'm sorry to see you go, but I can understand your reasons. Perhaps one day you'll reconsider, but if not, it was a pleasure to read your posts.

(*sigh* And to think that the snarky, rude, defensive, immature comments do this...)

I take a break from some of the forums I'm on... even if they don't dog-pile on me for something. Taking a break helps keep me grounded in actual reality instead of getting all caught up in the goings-on of forums like this where people are free to take on a different persona. Nobody here really knows who I am in the "real world" and that's also the case with several other forums that I'm on. That being said, the persona you "see" here is actually pretty close to my real-world persona.

Enjoy your break. There's also an "ignore" feature that you can avail yourself of...

I totally get it. I've taken voluntary LOAs from AN. I come back and binge, of course, but I often take weeks off. It's a sanity and self-preservation issue.

Enjoy the rest and hope you return when you're ready.

The people who posted the negative crap are going to be the nurses that never learn new skills.

Yes, I agree with you. I was a member since 2004 and signed off a few years ago. Recently I came back, and it is the same old drama. Very disheartening. Glad to know that I am not alone in my thinking.

Eh, it may be that time of year to go into "hibernation".

Your body of work is still here.

Come back soon. ;)

Enjoy your break, amigo. No need to let unnecessary negativity cramp your style, lord knows one has enough crummy stuff that HAS to be dealt with.

Agree...

More posters should pay attention to my siggy line, instead kicking doors.

I'm sure it'll settle down after a while...I chalk it up to seasonal changes and the like.
