First year pay

why does the 3-11 shift make more?I am a new graduate and know after the Nclex I probabaly will get stuck on this shift since most people dont like it and truthfully how the heck will I see my family??

It pays more b/c like you said, most people don't like working that shift. So if they pay they will work it :)

Is a doctor's office LPN paid different than elsewhere? What should I expect without insurance being offered at an office?

I'm a new grad LPN, I get paid $25.17/hr plus an extra $1.00 weekend diff. with full benefits. I live in CT and the cost of living is pretty high.

I made 10.02 per hour at my first job- in 1994. I now make over 22 per hour at the same facility!!

I am waiting to make some cash like that

yup my first years nursing pay in 1978 was $4.10 an hour working in a hospital..lol

This person might have become a nurse over 30 years ago, when a wage of $3.25 per hour was actually regarded as somewhat competitive. Therefore, I believe the poster might be telling the truth. :)
