I took the NCLEX today and I just know I failed it. I understand that's how everyone feels when they leave but I looked up some answers on questions that probably should have been easy and got them wrong. Also, using the ABC stragedy just wasn't working for me. I got 75 questions, 3-4 sata's, no med calculations, several drugs with some I had never heard of, some disease processes, some psych questions, some prioritization, teaching and delagation and some infection control. Next time when I study will concentrate mostly on prioritization. I'm more upset that I have a job already but most of all I let down my family.
I used Saunders to study (mostly the CD), Some of the Delmar's, and the free online NCLEX 3500. I thought Saunders was too easy and the questions were nothing like NCLEX.
Can anyone reccommend good prioritization/delagation book?
Thanks!

Sorry to hear you did not pass this time. Consider using Suzanne's Plan. Hang in there. You can do this.

I guess I'll know Saturday when if I pass or fail.
Thank You I am new to this forum. I have taken the NCLEX 3 times in the last 4 years. I have to pass this time. I truly hope you passed and I know how you are feeling right now. Just hope and pray.

Never, ever assume anything. Almost all that come out of the exam think that they have failed. And the statistics are that 85% pass the first time.
Suggest that you wait until you actually get your results before you do one thing to prepare again.
Best of luck to you.
Thanks for the encouragement. I guess I keep reading posts from NCLEX takers that received similar type questions and both have passed and failed. I let everyone know when I know!

I know exactly how you feel. I took my test January 14th and am still waiting to find out if I passed. Come to find out my school hadn't mailed my transcripts out. Hopefully I will find out next week. Anyway, how you described your test is exactly how mine seemed! I also studied Saunders and feel that the questions are way to easy compared to the Nclex. I just had no idea before the test!! Just hope for the best. From what I understand a lot of people feel the same way as you did, including me! Good luck to you and please let us know!!

Yeah I took mine this afternoon as well. The test sounds exactly the same as you guys desribed it and I feel exactly the same way. Mine promptly cut off at question 75. Now I know that this could be really good news, but it can also be the worst news possible. I mean if I actually passed that test it says very little about the quality of education or at least knowledge they expect us to have. Is it possible that Im such a reject that they actually failed me at 75!? All we can do is hope for a miracle (I usually dont abide by that) or appreciate the fact that we can always retake... with a little ego bashing to go along. Good Luck!

When I took mine 6 years ago I felt the same way ... I left feeling and knowing I failed ... but that did not happen! thank goodness!
so ... don't be too hard on yourself!
WoW, I'm praying that you guys pass!! I'm also struggling with the fact that I may have failed miserably. I keep telling myself, "Is it possible I actually missed sooo many it cut me off at 75?". I'm definetely not the best test taker but I'm not the worst either. I really think what may have messed me up was weeks and weeks after studying Saunders I tried a different book which I thought had much more challanging questions shortly before my big test. Answers I begin thinking were correct using ABC's were wrong! Saunders for the most part gives you enough information to reason out the correct answer. The NCLEX is much more vague. Wouldn't it be great if NCLEX had 2 right answers!! I also know I'll be the first in my class to fail!! Everyone will find out!
