  1. After 2 weeks and 1 day I found out this morning that I passed the boards. I am an RN! It is such a good feeling! For those of you who keep checking the CA BON and your name isn't on it, try not to get discouraged it may be that your file isn't complete! After several days I finally called the board and come to find out they had not received my transcripts from my school. My test stopped at 75 questions, after 3 days when my name wasn't on the website I thought for sure I must of failed. Needless to say I was glad that perhaps it was only because my transcripts that my name was not posted. Now I do know that was the reason!! My license appeared today!! Good luck everyone!! :)
  2. Good for you!! Congratulations :)
  3. Just so you know I also studied the Saunders CD as well as Exam Cram and do not feel I was prepared when I took the NCLEX. The questions were way harder on the test! It sounds like you have a great plan to retake the test. Just keep going forward with your plan. You have already gotten through a very hard part of your career (Nursing school)! Good luck to you! I am still waiting for my results from the Nclex. Hopefully I will find out soon!
  4. I know exactly how you feel. I took my test January 14th and am still waiting to find out if I passed. Come to find out my school hadn't mailed my transcripts out. Hopefully I will find out next week. Anyway, how you described your test is exactly how mine seemed! I also studied Saunders and feel that the questions are way to easy compared to the Nclex. I just had no idea before the test!! Just hope for the best. From what I understand a lot of people feel the same way as you did, including me! Good luck to you and please let us know!!
  5. Congratulations!!!:yeah:
  6. Sorry to hear that you didn't pass the Nclex for the 2nd time! Don't give up. You might want to check into some other study tools. Some of the others on here have tried Suzanne's plan as well as Kaplan and some other things. Nursing school is very tough. You have came so far, just keep going forward! You can do it!!!!
  7. Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you!
  8. Just do the best you can and try to be patient. I know how hard this can be also!! I took my test on January 14th and still have no idea whether I passed or not. My test also stopped at 75 questions! Come to find out I called the BON and my school had not sent my transcripts to them yet! I am hoping to find out next week. Good luck to you!! Keep us posted.
  9. Thank you very much for the information. I was wondering how an IP would be issued. Now thanks to you I understand what the school does in order to get the IPs issued. Hopefully I will find out soon if I passed.
  10. I called the California BON today to find out if my file was complete. The person I spoke with told me that they had not received my transcripts from my school as of yet, therefore if I passed my nclex exam they would not be able to let me know until they received my transcripts! I called my school and they told me that all of the nursing transcripts would be sent out in the next two days! It is a little frustrating I graduated a month ago! Meanwhile I have no idea if I passed or failed. It will be a week tomorrow that I took my test. Does anyone know how long it takes for the board to process your file once they receive your transcripts? Also, how are they able to issue an IP without the transcripts? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!
  11. Thank you for your post! I will definitely check into the Kaplan program.
  12. Thank you so much for your tips on prioritization. I will keep them in mind if I have to take the test again. Congrats on passing!!
  13. Hi, So anyway I took the nclex last Wednesday, Jan 14th and left there feeling like I was not prepared for the test. I was really feeling down after I left the test. As a matter of fact, the questions were so hard that I don't know what could of prepared me for the test. I have been studying the Saunders 4th edition CD, as well as the Lippincott CD. I checked the BRN website today and my name was not on there. The test stopped at 75 questions. I know the last two questions I got I answered wrong because I looked them up after I got home. My friends from the semester ahead of me in nursing school all had their name on the BRN website within 3 days. I think this is why I am feeling down. I am also feeling this way because I am suppose to start my dream job in February, which is a 5 month residency program and I will have to let them know that I can't except the postion if I didn't pass. There is no guarantee that I will get back into the program when it starts in the fall. If I failed I just don't understand how I would of done so bad where I wouldn't of received more questions after the 75 mark. I mean the test can go up to 265 questions! Anyway just needed to vent to others who are going thru what I am. U know trying to tackle the Nclex so I can get on with my life! Can anyone recommend a program to help me pass the Nclex if I didn't this time. Or perhaps a book that has more of the type of questions that are on Nclex? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
